YOUTH 2 WOMEN COACHES TALK
Welcome back to Mullum Mullum for the next home game for the Vikings Youth League Women’s team This week the Sherbrooke Suns are visiting.
Sherbrooke has been playing good hard basketball all season, which has put them in a good position to make finals and will be keen to secure a spot with a win, while Blackburn are looking to finish the season with a strong showing and on a high It will make for exciting basketball to watch
Our Vikings Youth Women have had a good season As a young team they have adopted a really positive mindset and been a sponge to learn and develop Which has led to good individual and team improvement over the year The girls should be proud of the work they have put in and while the results may not be what they wanted, the goal was to develop and grow with a view to the future
I would like to take this opportunity to thank Glenn Morris for his work throughout the year. His support and work ethic to support me and teach the players has been outstanding and is greatly appreciated Without your help the girl's development would not have been as great Thank you
I would like to also thank Charity Dickins for her help as team manager Your support in keeping the girls organised and things running smoothly behind the scenes has made my role that much easier Thank you
Personally as I step out of this role, it has been a privilege to coach the players that I have, and I hope that you have learnt as much from me as I have from you I wish you all the very best for what lies ahead in your basketball journey, and look forward to seeing and hearing about all the great accomplishments you will have in the future It has also been a privilege to have had the opportunity to learn from some amazing basketball minds, Simon Hickey, Ryan Saunders, Lucas Donnar, Ashley Taylor and Jacob Miller. Thank you.
It has been a year of progress, development, fun that has laid the foundation for a core group that will take this club forward into a strong future
To all the sponsors, volunteers, family and to the fans, thanks for your support, the girls and I really felt your positive energy all season.
One last time, Let's hear your voices Loud and Proud! #bleedorange Go Vikes!

YOUTH 1 MEN COACHES TALK
Welcome back to Mullum Mullum for the final round of the season!
Today, your Blackburn Vikings Youth Men take on the Pakenham Warriors in what promises to be a thrilling matchup The Vikings are coming off a strong 17-point victory over Sunbury last weekend, extending our winning streak to four games The team is fired up and ready to finish the season on a high, though Pakenham currently sitting third on the ladder will be a formidable opponent.
Today is also a special occasion as we bid farewell to two of our own. Ian Baker and Cormac Bohanna will be playing their final Youth League game as they age out of the program Both have been with the Blackburn family for years, beginning their journeys in our junior rep program before stepping up to the senior program
Ian and Cormac are not only exceptional players but also outstanding individuals. Their leadership, dedication, and care for their teammates have been instrumental in shaping the strong culture within this team We are incredibly grateful for the impact they've made both on and off the court and we wish them nothing but success in their future basketball and life pursuits
Let’s make some noise for our boys in their final outing of the season. Go Vikes!
