YOUTH 2 WOMEN COACHES TALK
Welcome back to Mullum Mullum for the next home game for the Vikings Youth League Women’s team. This week the Mornington Breakers are visiting.
Mornington has been playing good hard basketball all season, which has them in the mix for a finals spot currently and will make for exciting basketball to watch The Vikings will need to play great defence against Mornington’s balanced play
Our Vikings Youth Women are continuing to work hard to grow as a young team towards reaching their potential. Having had the long weekend break, the team is refreshed and had a good week at training. With several players unavailable or injured there is opportunity for all to step up.
Mornington is going to be a tough challenge, but our girls are feeling up to it and look forward to taking it on as they look to mount their run home towards hopefully a finals push.
To all the sponsors, volunteers, family and to the fans, thanks for your support, the girls really felt your positive energy in the last home game, and look forward to putting on a great performance for you again this week Let hear you Loud and Proud again this week!
Go Vikes!

YOUTH 1 MEN COACHES TALK
Welcome back to Mullum Mullum for today’s Round 12 clash between your Blackburn Vikings Youth Men and the Ballarat Miners!
We’re now two-thirds of the way through the season and entering the all-important home stretch
Ballarat currently sit 7th on the ladder just outside the finals and will be hungry for a win today. Ethan Fiegert and Jack Hexter have been standout performers for the Miners, while mid-season addition William Hynes has made an immediate impact
Last round, our boys suffered a narrow 7-point loss to Melbourne University. Despite winning three of the four quarters, a lapse in defensive intensity during the second proved costly. This week’s training has placed a strong emphasis on both individual and team defense let’s hope that work pays off on court today
Go Vikes!
