Messages from the Head Students

5 years ago, I moved to this school as a 13 year old boy with dreams of becoming a football player. I thought that moving to this school would allow me to fulfil those dreams. However, here I am, 5 years later with a new set of dreams that no longer entail football. It is a testament to the endless opportunities that BISP provides to all of their students. There are so many things that could inspire you in this community.

BISP is one of a kind. The diverse community and plethora of opportunities that are available for you to develop or even discover your passions and interests with the guidance of a supportive community is what makes this place so unique. No matter if it is sports, academics, or arts all these passions have a place to thrive at BISP where you are surrounded by talent. It was the overall holistic approach of the school which is what moulded me into who I am today.

With the honour of being a Head student, I was able to interact with students from different year groups. Working with the House team captains, we were able to integrate the secondary house system with primary school aiming for students to build relationships with different year groups. We also launched the Golden Smile- a fundraising run event that would support the golden mile. I hope these will continue along to help improve the BISP community.

This one of a kind experience is something I never would have expected. However, I truly would like to thank you for giving me the privilege to be your voice as Head student. I hope a legacy has been left behind in this fantastic community. I wish all of you the best!

Walking through the halls of BISP, it is clear that this is no ordinary educational institution.

Every aspect of the school emanates a dynamic energy that is difficult to ignore, from dedicated students to passionate teachers. As you step into our classrooms, you will observe students anxiously anticipating their opportunity to offer fresh ideas. In our athletic facilities, you can observe students who have a true balance of interests. In our art department, you will find an abundance of talent. This is what makes BISP so unique: regardless of who you are and where your interests lie, you are always supported by those around you.

During my time as Head Student, I had the opportunity to work with a huge part of the community, from the wonderful Wellbeing Team to our teachers, parents and the student body, we revitalised our impact on student welfare and on the broader community through fundraising events such as the Halloween Disco to grow mangrove trees around Phuket, mitigating floods in the coming years and started the Peer Support Group to cultivate a cycle of health consciousness and enhance relationships within the student body.

Although I have only been here for two years, the unity within the BISP community has been my guiding force every step of the way.

As I walk out the hallways to the next chapter of my life, I will never forget the way BISP has taught me that when we work together and lift each other up, we can achieve great things and create even greater memories.
