The coaching staff can’t thank you enough for all the time, hard work, and effort you have put into your baseball career that has gotten you to this point. In the future, always remember to use the lessons the game of baseball has taught you. Responding to adversity, learning from failure, working as a team towards a common goal, and competing each and every day in everything you do are but a few of the lessons you will carry with you.

Over the past four years here at Bucknell, you have formed relationships and made countless memories with your teammates both on and off the field that you will remember forever. During these four years you have all matured into leaders who set positive examples for the underclassmen to look up too. Each of you have been a huge part of this team’s success in your own separate ways, but as a group you’ve helped leave the program in a better place. You will always be a member of the Bucknell Baseball Family and we hope you achieve your goals while continuing to represent Bucknell Baseball.

“1-2-3 Bison 4-5-6 Family”

**Coach Heather will deliver his personal message to each senior on Senior Day.

Messages from the Underclassmen

Seniors,

Brady Swenson: When I was first considering Bucknell, I wasn't sure if going to the same school as my brother was the right decision. Although we have had our ups and downs, especially over taking out the trash, doing the dishes, and replacing toilet paper, I wouldn't have traded my two years here with you for anything. Your guidance has truly set me up for success and I cannot thank you enough for that. Now the hard work begins in Boston but I know you will go and be a great doctor (dentist).

Tyler Dunn: Baller, you have been like a second brother to me the past two years and have always been someone I could go to. Thank you for all the great times and if there is any time I need to sleep on the floor (not the bed, especially on gamedays) it's yours. Love you Dunny.

Brady Karp: Like a wise man once said, "I ain't giving up on you boys", I think that's something that resonates with you. You always put the team before yourself and led the way through the season. However, the toilet paper goes ON the roll not on top of it.

Billy Kender: Bill, thanks for all the fun you have shown us over the last couple of years and for constantly letting us know how much better-looking you are than everyone else. In all seriousness, you created some great memories for many of us and look forward to seeing your success in the future. P-table will be waiting for your arrival on alumni weekend.

Nick Mulvey: My Lord, thank you for leading the way through the angry rankings but I think I'll take over from here. Seriously though you have shown a lot of tough love towards all of us and are super excited to see what you do in the future. Hopefully, you won't take a bulldozer to my hospital one day.

Ben Magovern: Benny Mac, in all honesty, you were the most normal out of this group, and probably going to make the most money too. Love you dude, thank you for being a mentor for a lot of people on the team whether it be on or off the field. You're a class act.

Matt Alexander: Matty (Meh), you have been a huge help to me on the field, whether it be physical or mental, you have made me a better ballplayer because of it. You also narrate the best game of Maf, even if Billy tries to tell you differently. Good luck with life going forward man and thank you for everything.

Tyler O'Neill: Thank you for busting your tail off while you were here and showing us what it means to be a competitor and to play for the guy next to you. Best of luck with the little one, and if she grows up to be anything like her Dad, then I know she'll be a great person.

~Andrew Swenson

Dear Seniors,

I just want to start by saying thank you for everything you’ve done for us. From the official visit to our last time on Depew together, this place has always felt like home because of the eight of you. In just these two years, I’ve made lifelong memories that I will carry with me forever. This has been the greatest time of my life, and that’s all thanks to you.

It has truly been an honor to play baseball with each of you, not just on the field but in all the moments, big and small, in between. You’ve been incredible role models both on and off the field, setting an example that we will strive to follow for years to come. This place is better because of you, and I do not doubt that each of you will go on to do amazing things.

Love you all, and I look forward to seeing you again in the future. ~Dante Pavone

Messages from the Underclassmen

Seniors, It’s crazy to think that this season, and simply just seeing you boys every single day, is starting to come to an end. It went by way too quickly. I just want to thank all of you for everything that you have done for this team and me personally. Writing this fills me with a lot of different emotions because you guys truly make this team a family. I am so thankful that I was able to spend two years playing beside you guys, and baseball aside, just being able to spend time with all of you day in and day out. It is truly going to be different without you guys next year. Without Mulv and Matty A bickering like a married couple, the nightly hotel girlfriend calls on the road with Karpo, Dunny’s neon orange fits, just laughing at any joke being said, Kender simply just being Kender, T.O. mentoring me, and every other pitcher in the pen, Doc and his hilarious comments every once in a while, and of course Goov and his sense of humor and the Philly connection (my guy). Every single one of you guys has had a great impact on me and my life and I can’t put into words how much I appreciate everything you have done. You guys are more than just teammates, you guys are the older brothers I never had. I seriously would trade anything in the world to be able to play one more game with you fellas. I can’t wait to see what you all do in the future and I wish nothing but success for all of you. And Mulvey, I hope in the future you can keep your coffee in the cup! Love you boys! Best, Jake Schultz

Thank you seniors for the last 2 years of memories. Love you guys, Chi (Michael Chiaravallo)

Dear Seniors, Thank you so much for everything that you guys have given me. You’ve guided me throughout my first year here and I can’t thank you guys enough. I love all of you and wish you nothing but the best in the future. ~Everett Garber

Thank you, seniors! Each of you taught me something valuable and had a lasting impact on my love for everything at Bucknell. From schoolwork to hanging out at the house, being at the field, and everything in between, you’ve all been incredible workers and will excel in the future. Thank you for being the class that brings life to this place! ~Chris Morabito

I wanted to say thank you to all the seniors, for the last two years, and for making these some of the best years. Thank you guys and good luck ~Dylan Radtke

Dear Seniors, Thank you for being awesome teammates and great role models. I truly looked up to each and every one of you. Please let me know if you have or need any percs in the future! Best of Luck ~Frankie Bilecki

Dear Seniors, Thank you for the past three years. I consider every single one of you some of my closest friends, and there’s no group of guys I’d rather be around every single day. From day one, you taught us all what it meant to be a member of this team, as well as this community. I’ve enjoyed every second I’ve spent with you all, and I know we will keep in contact for a long time. Thank you guys. ~DeLaney (Ryan Delaney)

Thank you, Seniors, for leading the way over the past two years. Wishing you all the best in your future endeavors!" To the Senior Pitchers, Brady, Nick, Ben, Tyler "Thank you Tyler, Ben, Nick and Brady. You guys all led by example and showed what it took to be successful. Best of luck to all of you in the future!" ~Jonathan Adelmann

Messages from the Underclassmen

It helped make the transition to college baseball smoother and I am extremely grateful for everything you did for me! ~Lleyton Coupe

Group: Thank you to the seniors for a great freshman year and welcoming us to the Bucknell Family. You set the bar high for the team every single day and led the way for all of us all year. I wish you all the best of luck in all of the great things you will do after Bucknell! ~Lleyton Coupe

To the seniors, Thank you guys for being such an awesome group of seniors. I couldn't have asked for a better group of guys to spend my freshman year with. You all were welcoming from the jump and never made anybody feel like they didn't belong. Thank you for showing me the ropes of being a studentathlete and providing mentorship and guidance in every aspect of college life. I wish you guys nothing but the best and hope to stay in touch over the years. Good luck in your next chapter! ~Reed Muir

Dear Seniors, It has been an awesome year with you guys, from the fall to the spring. Thank you for being such great teammates and leaders and showing us what it means to play for our program. Also, thank you for being great friends and welcoming us to the team and campus right off the bat. It has been a blast this year playing with you guys. Good luck to all of you in the future and hope to keep in touch. Love you guys. ~John Calabrese

Brady, I just wanted to say thanks for everything this year. You’ve been a real leader on this team always prepared, always doing the little things right, and setting the standard without needing the spotlight. You’ve helped me out a ton, just by showing me how to handle things the right way, on and off the field. I really appreciate you more than I say. Seriously, you are just a great guy. ~Jaxon Beiswenger

Matty, You’re the most team-first guy I’ve been around. No matter the situation, you always show up for the guys and lead by example. Nobody loves the game more than you, and seeing that every day has made me enjoy baseball even more. Appreciate everything you've done and the standard you’ve set. ~Jaxon Beiswenger

Seniors, Walking through life with you all the last three years has been a true blessing. Going from being shown by you how to adjust to college as a freshman to now being team leaders with you all has been indescribably special. Knowing that our time together is almost up does make me sad, however, I know it’s time for you all to move on to bigger and better things and I will be able to take the lessons I’ve learned from each of you with me throughout the rest of my life.

Goov- Staying positive and being the guy anyone can talk to.

Mulvey- Being honest and caring for the group over yourself.

TO- Embracing the uncertain and being passionate.

Swenny- Knowing what you want and working your butt off for it.

Billy- Living life to the fullest, not wasting any important moments.

Matty- Being yourself no matter what and being selfless.

Dunn- Being consistent in everything you do, being an example of how to go about life.

Karp- Being a true leader and role model, never letting your morals change.

Love you all, can’t wait to see what the future holds. ~Hadley Maxwell

It’s hard to believe this is your last season. Playing with you guys these past three years has meant a lot. You’ve been more than just teammates, you’ve been family. It won’t be the same without you next year, but I know the culture you’ve created will stay. Thanks for everything hope we keep in touch. ~Ethan Firestein

Dear Seniors, I want to thank you all for an unforgettable 2 years. I also want to thank you guys for welcoming us into this program and having to deal with us 10 sophomores. You guys have showed us the ropes and what it means to play for Bucknell Baseball. I am truly grateful to have shared the field with each and every one of you and even happier with the memories we made off the field. Lastly, I want to thank Mulvey for ruining my sophomore year! Love, Nas (Luke Nascimento)

To all my seniors: Thank you for always being there for us and setting the example. I don’t know what I am going to do without you guys. To the pitchers that I get to catch: TO, you’ve been a captain and a role model all of my 3 years, whether you were a sophomore or a senior, and that is going to translate in real life, and you’re going to succeed at whatever you do. Magovern, you’re always there when anyone needs you and are always understanding to the person next to you. Mulvey, you are always someone I can laugh with, and I know it hasn’t been all rainbows catching you, but that is the fun of it. You’ve grown over the years since I’ve been here and it has really shown, and you will continue to grow outside of Bucknell. Swenny, you always stick up for me, even when I miss a fastball right down the middle and it hits my face. You are super appreciative and that will travel a long way, and I am grateful for that. I don’t know what I am going to do without you guys. It’s never going to be the same because of the footprint you guys will leave, and I know you all will make a mark in the next chapter of life. Thank you and love you all, Benny Eyes (Ben Isenstein)

Thank you, seniors, for welcoming us to Bucknell. The transition to college was tough for me and your guidance and support helped make that transition easier. There was something to be learned from you all and thank you all for the positive impact that you had on my life. Best of luck to you all in your next phase of life. I am rooting for you. Favorite Baseball Memory: Riding in the vans with the guys in Florida, and every day I got to experience with my teammates.

Message to Coaches: Thank you for the opportunity to represent our program, and thank you for giving me the chance to play the game I love with people I'll never forget.

Message to Parents: Thank you Mom and Dad for always pushing me beyond what I thought I was capable of, and always knowing when to be hard on me when I needed it. Words can't describe how thankful I am for supporting me even when I failed, and I am proud knowing that the morals, and beliefs I carry with myself every day were handed down by you.

Message to Underclassmen: Thank you for making my time unforgettable, I enjoyed coming to the field every day to laugh and play with you guys. Word of advice is to play hard and bring a good attitude to the field every day, you never know who is watching, or when your last game will be.

Lou Gehrig, in his farewell speech said, “I consider myself the luckiest man on the face of the earth”. Well, we consider ourselves the luckiest parents on the earth, for having the chance to watch you grow and mature both in life and in a game that you love. Baseball is HARD, arguably the toughest sport to play and you have faced your share of challenges. It's in times of adversity that character is built and how you respond, matters. We have been inspired by your bravery, WILL, perseverance, kindness and grace, both on and off the field.

We hope you never lose the love and respect you have for the game, the belief in yourself and lessons you’ve learned on the field – hard work, determination, the value of being a good teammate and persistence. They will serve you well in all your future endeavors. We are excited to continue this journey with you and know you will do great things!

All our love, Mom, Dad and Sarina

Dear Ben,

Hometown: Reading, Pennsylvania

Major: Finance

Future Plans: Working for Stephens as an Investment Banking analyst in New York City. Favorite Baseball Memory: Spring break trip this year to Florida.

Message to Coaches: Thank you for helping me mature and develop as a man, giving me the opportunity to play the game I love, and allowing me to join this special brotherhood.

Message to Parents: Thank you not just for the endless love and support that’s allowed me to chase my dreams, but also for being the role models I look up to every single day.

Message to Underclassmen: Appreciate the little things and be thankful that you get to live the dream.

In 8th grade, you wrote a school paper describing your goals for the future. There was nothing in the paper about being an investment banker (life goals can change!), but you said you wanted to be a Division 1 athlete, and you pursued that goal with passion. High school and travel baseball took you far and wide, and supportive coaches provided guidance and opportunities. Doctors and trainers kept the wheels from falling off but it was your endless training and determination that kept you in the game. Coach Heather and Coach Neitz believed in you, and your 8th grade dream came true at Bucknell University. As a family, we have seen you blossom at Bucknell into a mature young man, physically, emotionally, and professionally. We are so proud of you, Ben and so thankful to the coaches and staff of Bucknell Baseball, your teammates, and to the entire Bucknell University baseball family for their care and support of you, our son and brother, Ben. We love you very much Ben. We know your future is bright!

With love from your biggest fans, Mom, Dad, Christin, Chris, Sydney and Isaac

Message to Parents: Without you guys, none of this would be possible for me. I will always be grateful for every experience you have gifted me and more importantly the unwavering support and belief in me.

Message to Underclassmen: Soak it up while you can. Four years flies by and each day there is chance to make life long memories at a place like this. Although Brady Karp may say otherwise, he will never remember that extra hour of studying, but he will remember all the time he spent with each and everyone of you. Enjoy baseball for the game it is and even more so for the people it brings into your life.
