PCCSA: Palo Alto Networks Certified Cybersecurity Associate

The PCCSA certification validates the knowledge required for entry-level network security positions, whose technical requirements change as quickly as the technology upon which it’s based. PCCSA certified individuals have detailed knowledge of the latest trends in networks-based cyberattacks and of cutting-edge technologies available to prevent them.

To prepare for the PCCSA, foundational knowledge in cybersecurity is needed. The recommended training includes: • Cybersecurity: Foundations* • Cybersecurity: Essentials* • Cybersecurity: Gateway*

To receive a 40% discount, a testing voucher must be obtained from BSC Continuing Education. Exams are proctored by the third-party testing company Pearson® VUE. This class explains networking concepts, fundamentals, and technologies. This module explores the basic operation of computer networks; common networking devices; routed and routing protocols; network types and topologies; DNS; physical, logical, and virtual addressing; IP addressing and subnetting; the OSI and TCP/IP models; network security models, cloud and data center security, network security technologies, cloud computing, virtualization, and storage technologies; and network operations fundamentals.
