The chair side scanner allows us to scan a patients mouth and fabricate a crown in a single appointment without the use of messy impression material. Patients that have been cursed with terrible gag reflexes really appreciate this new technology.
With the lab scanner and 3D printer, we are able to design dentures, night guards, surgical guides for dental implants and other appliances. Because of this technology, Dental Associates can fabricate these items in house. Patients can receive their appliances faster, thus speeding treatment time. Additionally, because the dentists are more intimately overlooking the fabrication of these appliances, the quality is exceptional. In other words, Dental Associates digital technology allows more control and better predictability with an expedited time frame over the design of dental appliances.
