Dear Bismarck Mandan Chamber EDC Board of Directors and Members,

I am thrilled to extend my heartfelt gratitude to each and every one of you as we share our 2023 Annual Report. We have experienced many remarkable achievements over the past year at our Chamber EDC. As we reflect on the year, it fills me with pride to see the impact of our collective efforts in driving growth, fostering innovation, and promoting prosperity within our community.

Throughout the year, we have witnessed milestones and accomplishments which you will read about in this report. We’ve supported new businesses and fostered entrepreneurship, workforce development and the necessary infrastructure to grow business. Our Chamber EDC success is a testament to the dedication, collaboration, and ingenuity of our membership and our communities of Bismarck and Mandan. I would like to extend my sincerest appreciation to our membership, whose support and active engagement have continued to be instrumental in our achievements. Your contributions, insight and expertise have helped us to move business forward.

I also want to express my gratitude to the staff at the Chamber EDC. When I joined the organization in July, we were in the midst of a major renovation of our workspace which had the team displaced amongst other staffing changes and challenges. The hard work, passion and dedication of the Chamber EDC staff has been the driving force behind our accomplishments. The staff commitment to excellence and tireless efforts have been truly commendable and I am profoundly grateful for each and every person on the team.

As we focus on 2024, we must carry forward with the spirit of collaboration, innovation and resilience that has defined the Bismarck Mandan Chamber EDC and the communities of Bismarck and Mandan. I am certain that we will be able to build upon our past success, tackle new challenges, and create opportunities for growth. Once again, congratulations on a successful 2023 and thank you for your support in our efforts.

WHO WE ARE

On January 1, 2019, the Bismarck Mandan Chamber of Commerce and the BMDA (Bismarck Mandan Development Association) officially merged to become the Bismarck Mandan Chamber EDC. The merger of these two organizations has created an organization focused on member advocacy through policy development, economic and workforce development, leadership development opportunities, and networking opportunities for our membership of over 1,200 businesses and individuals.

Five years post-merger, the Bismack Mandan Chamber EDC is moving business forward by serving as the convener, the connector and the cultivator of leaders and influencers in the communities of Bismarck and Mandan. We strive to connect our members to the valuable resources needed to keep their business thriving and a vital part of our economy. Our initiatives and programs continue to stimulate economic growth, influence public policy and support the growth of local and regional businesses.

Our efforts are fully supported by many volunteer members who serve on committees such as Local Issues, Government Affairs, Economic Development and more, as well as our 19-member Board of Directors, all who are committed to efforts that help the Chamber EDC move business forward.
