BISMARCK CANCER CENTER

Celebrates its 20th Anniversary October 2019 marked the 20th anniversary of the Bismarck Cancer Center with celebration and excitement. Hundreds of people came through the Cancer Center on Tuesday, October 29, for clinic tours, great food, live music, and fun. The evening started with a warm welcome from Executive Director, Amy Gross, and the Cancer Center’s Medical Director, Dr. Robert Reynolds. Congratulatory words were given by the Board of Trustee President, Angie Svihovec, from CHI St. Alexius Health, along with the Board of Trustees Vice President, Kirk Cristy, from Sanford Medical Center. Mayor Steve Bakken also shared his cancer journey story about the supportive care he received from the Bismarck Cancer Center. From the beginning, the betterment of the community and the people they serve has been at the forefront of the Bismarck Cancer Center’s mission. Five employees at BCC have been on staff since the doors opened 20 years ago, including Executive Director, Amy Gross. She is passionate about the journey the Bismarck Cancer Center is on, “We are constantly committed to improving and having the best care available to every person that walks through the door and that won’t change in the years ahead.” The Bismarck Cancer Center is truly appreciative of the community support over the years not only from Bismarck/Mandan, but the surrounding communities as well!

Masks in the Moonlight Let us whisk you away for a night of fun and fantasy! This magical evening will include a gourmet dinner, entertainment, an acrobatic show, a live band, dancing, and a live and silent auction. Committee member, Sarah Murphy of Bismarck, has been helping with the event since the beginning and is amazed at the changes over the past seven years, “The committee members put their heart and soul into this event. They always go above and beyond every year, making sure each year is better than the last!” Masks in the Moonlight raised over $100,000 for the Bismarck Cancer Center Foundation in 2019.
