How did you start to photography? What equipment do you use to shoot? I got started in photography around 17 with an Olympus point-and-shoot I borrowed from my dad. I graduated from that to a Canon Rebel XT, and eventually up the Canon line to my current 5dMkIII. Honestly, showing my photos to my art teacher in highschool helped give me the bump of confidence I needed to start shooting a lot more, so shout out to Helen Young. Eventually I started befriending music venues around town and would shoot shows and band promos, booked nearly every weekend through college. I ended up making a circle of friends that was all photographers, and we all got into off-camera lighting at the same time. Together, we rented this giant ass warehouse space we labeled the 'Five Giants Studio' and spent most of our free time experimenting with lighting and shooting commercial gigs. Come hai iniziato con la fotografia? Che attrezzatura usi per scattare? Ho iniziato con la fotografia intorno ai 17 anni con una Olympus punta-e-scatta presa in prestito da mio padre. Poi da quella sono passato ad una Canon Rebel XT, e, infine, alla linea Canon 5DMKII corrente. Onestamente, mostrando le mie foto alla mia insegnante d'arte al liceo, mi ha aiutato ad avere fiducia di cui avevo bisogno di credere per iniziare a girare molto di più, in modo da arrivare a scattare con Helen Young. Alla fine ho iniziato a fare amicizia con locali di musica in città e scattavo agli spettacoli ed i promo delle band, prenotato quasi ogni fine settimana attraverso l'università. Ho finito per fare una cerchia di amici che erano tutti i fotografi, e tutti insieme abbiamo avuto l’illuminazione off-camera, allo stesso tempo. Insieme, abbiamo affittato questo spazio gigantesco, un magazzino, e abbiamo etichettato il 'Five Giants Studio' e abbiamo trascorso la maggior parte del nostro tempo libero a sperimentare con illuminazione e riprese commerciali.
