The social officers received a Division 1 at both competitions for their Pom routine and the team as a whole was recognized for its outstanding technique, showmanship, and choreography at both contests. The team also brought home a first place in Jazz, Pom and Hip Hop. Falconette captain, Jadyn Franklin, placed in the top 10 soloists at the Texas State Championship and won the small school soloist division at the DFW Championship. Boys Soccer honored five teammates. Second Team All-District was awarded to sophomore, Thomas Sheffield and junior, Jesse Lara. Honorable Mentions went to sophomore, Ricardo Marin, senior, Josh Acuna and junior, Faisal Torres. Varsity Boys Basketball competed hard and was close to earning a playoff spot but lost the play-in game. Sophomore, Devin Miller was named First Team All-District. Second Team All-District was awarded to senior, Stevie Guerrero, and freshman Cam Marks was awarded Honorable Mention. Varsity Girls Basketball came back to Bishop Dunne, following a four-year hiatus. The girls had a great time, enjoyed being back on the court and look forward to a bigger and better next year! lost in heart-breaking fashion in the DPL semi-finals on a buzzer beater by St. Rita. Next year will be a great year to watch! Girls Soccer player, ninth grader, Alyssa Williams was awarded Second Team All-District Offense. Honorable Mention for Defense went to senior, Marlowe Martensen and Honorable Mention Keeper went to senior, Dylan Hoffman. Volleyball senior, Marlowe Martensen was recognized as First Team All-District, with senior Christine Akpunku and junior Adrianna Barfield receiving Honorable Mentions. Numerous outstanding boys and girls Track team members, received recognition. Sophomore Devin Miller is the 5A state champion for high jump and District Champion in the 400 meter run. Junior Jeremiah Horn is the District Champion for the 100 meter run, triple jump and long jump. All-District and All-State recognition went to Devin Miller and Jeremiah Horn. All-District was awarded to juniors Ty Wolff and Shandon King. Baseball team pitcher and senior Marcelo Carrillo was awarded District Honorable Mention. Marcelo signed with University of Dallas to play college baseball. District Honorable Mention also went to sophomore Lloyd Lewis and freshman Jake Rodriguez.
