GRADUATION The Class of 2022 held its graduation ceremony May 27, at Concord Church. Master of Ceremonies Chaelon Simpson was also awarded the Golden Falcon as Outstanding Graduate. Addresses were given by 2022 salutatorian and valedictorian, Isabelle Green and Marlowe Martensen. Fr. Russ Mower, Bishop Dunne Chaplain and Pastor of St. Elizabeth of Hungary Catholic Church, provided both the Invocation and Benediction. Christopher MacLellan, Theology Department Chair, introduced the graduates while President Mary Beth Marchiony, and Dr. Veronica Alonzo, Associate Superintendent Catholic Schools Office conferred diplomas to the graduating seniors. The Bishop Dunne Band provided music for the occasion. Class of 2022 quick facts: • 70% of the class graduated with honors • 94% were admitted to colleges and universities • Graduates were accepted to 152 college and universities • 75% of the class earned college scholarships • The class earned over $6.5 million scholarship dollars
BACCALAUREATE MASS The Class of 2022 attended Baccalaureate Mass with family and friends on May 26, at the Cathedral Shrine of the Virgin of Guadalupe, with Fr. Russ Mower as Celebrant. Readings were done by seniors Julia Daniel, Marcelo Carrillo, Natalie Cortez, Isabelle Green, and Chaelon Simpson. Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion included Isabelle Green ‘22, Alex Rodriguez ‘23, Gabrielle Green ‘24 and Karen Lugo ‘25. Alter servers included Ryder Smith ‘26, Nathan Valencia ‘27, and Jeremiah Navarro ‘25. Bishop Dunne Strings Orchestra provided music with its members Morgan Lee ‘24, Cielo Martinez ‘22, Emily Fordan ‘22, Diego Aspeitia ‘23, Sh’Elbie Ward ‘24, Karen Lugo ‘25, Paul Geary ‘25, and Alyssa Williams ‘25.
