2023 Corporate Sponsorships MANOR LIVING SENIOR A Community of Life and Living!

In an effort to simplify our event sponsorships, we have established a Corporate Sponsorship program. With this program, we hope to reduce our requests to one annual opportunity to support each fundraising event. Each of our three levels comes with different benefits to each event. Our 2023 fundraising event proceeds will be used to support our hiring initiative (see page 4 for more details). Our friends at the St. Marys United Methodist Church Foundation have graciously offered to match every donation given to Magnolia Manor up to $58,500. With your help, we can continue providing high-quality care to our residents during this trying time. If you would like to support us as a 2023 Corporate Sponsor, please fill out the enclosed form and return it to us before February 1, 2023

All Corporate Sponsors also receive:

• Company logo on Magnolia Manor Corporate Sponsor website page

• Logo placement in all fundraising event advertising, signage, print & social media

• Announcement recognition at all fundraising events

• Company logo on fundraising events page in Magnolia Manor quarterly magazine

Hiring Initiative

Magnolia Manor proudly serves older adults in our communities throughout South Georgia. Our nine locations offer various levels of care. In order to continue providing residents with the care they need, it is imperative that each campus is equipped with well-trained staff to administer that care. This is why we have decided to implement our corporate-wide Hiring Initiative in 2023.

Due to the pandemic, 98% of long-term care providers across the country are experiencing difficulty hiring staff. The nursing home and long-term care industry have lost a combined 586,400 jobs over the last 2.5 years. As a result, over 70% are concerned that they may have to close their facilities, which could leave some elderly without the care they need.

Our 2023 Hiring Initiative involves enhancing our promotional efforts to attract individuals who are experienced or looking to gain experience working with seniors or in healthcare. We will also provide further education and training opportunities, career advancements, and increased benefits for our current staff and new hires. With this strategic approach to the hiring crisis, we aim to improve resident care at Magnolia Manor.

We serve over 1,000 residents who are glad to call Magnolia Manor home. It is our goal to continue providing an environment where our residents can live their lives to the fullest while receiving care that fits their needs.

Please partner with us as we work towards well-staffed facilities and better care for residents at Magnolia Manor.

League Good Samaritan the of the

The Methodists of South Georgia created Magnolia Manor to minister to the needs of older adults in the name of Christ and the Church. When this ministry was born more than half a century ago, our founders embraced a vision: no resident would ever have to leave if, through no fault of their own, they were unable to pay. The way we fulfill that vision is through The League of the Good Samaritan, a benevolent fund that pays for care when residents’ money runs out.

More than 60% of the residents in Magnolia Manor facilities require some form of financial assistance–either through Medicaid, Section 8 (HUD), Veterans Benefits and/or The League of the Good Samaritan. Often, the care and services that we provide to residents exceeds their ability to pay by thousands of dollars, but they still live with us because we made a promise. Most budget years, private pay and reimbursement from government agencies results in an average shortfall of $6.14 per resident each and every day. It is through The League that we are able to fill this gap.

The Evening with Magnolia event will raise funds for the League of the Good Samaritan.

About Magnolia Manor

Magnolia Manor was founded in the late 1950s when the South Georgia Conference of the Methodist Church commissioned an internal study on the needs of the elderly. The study identified the need for housing where residents could feel safe and secure without having to worry about home maintenance or isolation from others. They also identified a need for long-term care for the elderly, including skilled nursing. At the same time, Kate Witte, a long-time resident of Americus, left a bequest of land designated to provide a home for the elderly. The two missions came together to create a beautiful ministry. The Rock of Ages Foundation was created from the bequest, and in 1959, the Foundation deeded 392 acres of land to the South Georgia Methodist Home for the Aging, Inc., known from its inception as Magnolia Manor.

In 1963, Magnolia Manor opened its doors in Americus and quickly became recognized as a leader in retirement living. Over the last 50 years, the ministry has expanded across denominational and geographical boundaries, embracing residents from all faiths and walks of life. Our ministry has grown to include locations in Macon, Richmond Hill, Moultrie, St. Marys, Buena Vista, St. Simons Island, Midway and Columbus, Georgia. We are a faith-based, non-profit organization and operate on the values of the Christian faith. Although our roots are in Methodism, we proudly serve persons of all faiths and beliefs. Every day we meet the needs of over 1,000 individuals through independent living, catered care, assisted living, personal care, skilled nursing care, Alzheimer’s and specialized memory care. Our mission, vision, and values serve as motivation each day to continue improving the quality of care for our residents.
