Wasaga Beach 2014 Election Introduces Internet and Phone Voting This is your community – Vote! It Matters! Your vote sends a powerful message – so be heard and have your say about your community by voting in your Municipal Election for Mayor and Council, and School Board Trustees – October 17th to 27th Accessible Voting at your convenience – whether you are a cottager or year-round resident, you do not need to drive or stand in line to vote. You can now vote from home or anywhere in the world. Voting is easier than internet or telephone banking and just as safe and secure. To vote in Wasaga Beach, you must: Be 18 years of age; be a Canadian Citizen; be a resident; own or rent property in Wasaga Beach, or the spouse of someone who owns or rents property; not be prohibited by Law. Step 1 – Check the Voters List You need to be on the Voters List to receive your Voter Instruction Letter that includes a Personal Identification Number (PIN) to enable you to vote. Checking the Voters List is an important step to ensure that your name and school support are listed correctly. To find out if you are on the Voters List and registered to vote: •Visit the Town website at www.wasagabeach.com •Visit Town Hall at 30 Lewis Street, or •Call Town Hall at 705-429-3844, ext. 2246 or •Visit the RecPlex or the Public Library It is the voter's responsibility to ensure their information is correct on the Voters List. This will ensure you receive a PIN and ballot to enable you to vote. Photo identification and qualifying address required.

Step 2 – You will need a PIN (Personal Identification Number) In order to vote, you will need your Voter Information Letter that will be mailed to you October 8th to 15th which includes your PIN, voting website address and 1-800 number, voting assistance and other election information. If you do not receive a PIN by October 16th, please call or visit one of our Election Help Centres. If you will be away, be sure to bring your letter with instructions and your PIN number with you so you can cast your vote no matter where you are during the 10 day voting period. Step 3 – Vote! It Matters! Municipal Voting Days are October 17th beginning at 10:00 a.m. to October 27th ending at 8:00 p.m. by internet and telephone only. If you are comfortable using a computer, but do not have access to the internet, public computers are available at Public Libraries, or internet cafés. You could also ask a family member or friend for help. If you are uncomfortable voting electronically and require assistance, or have questions about the election, we can help in a complete and secure manner by contacting or visiting the Election Help Centres.
