Governor’s Newsletter District A-12 District Governor Len Day

My LionsFamily It’s almost October, summer is over and things are getting b u s i e r, r e g u l a r meeting are happening with our clubs planning service projects to m a k e o u r communities and the world a better place. As Lions we are always looking to provide more service to those that need it the most. To provide more service we must invite for impact. I am not saying to go out and just add members but to ask people that you know will make an impact in serving to give people a hand up. On September 9th and 10th the Multiple District A Governors met in Markham and reviewed the committees and programs that the Lions of Ontario do. This is much like our District cabinet meeting. It is amazing to hear the passion of the Lions form across the Multiple talk about what they do in there communities and realize that we a do similar things in a little different way. Doing relative projects that are needed is essential to the strength of our clubs and our organization. As I attend the different sessions at the USA Canada Lions Leadership Forum I am inspired to be a better leader. By becoming a better leader I want to motivate our Lions to become better and become our future leaders. Moving forward we have to be a positive group of leaders that believe in our dreams and make the dreams come true. The development and redevelopment of our leaders is a very important part of the future of the Lions. Lions, thank you for the service that you do, thank you for looking for more ways to increase the service you do and thank you for providing the leadership to complete this service. Be passionate about the work we do and share that passion with the other members of our clubs and districts and I am sure that passion will expand and make us the club of choice. Lions I am inspired by the work that you do. I hope that you will also become more inspired by the work that we as Lions do locally and around the world. We must make a positive choice to have our members make our communities better places for everyone. Lions we Lead the World by the service we provide and the World needs more service from the Lions. I know that you the Lions of District A12 will meet the future challenges because of who you are and what you do. Lions, please continue to develop, please continue to serve with passion in a positive way that will make us all better. Be the best you can be.
