Enmienda Estatal Senate Bill 375375 — ¿Que es What’s at nuestro riesgo? Stake for Us? La Enmienda Estatal (Senate Bill — SB) 375 está centrada en Estrategias para Comunidades Sostenibles. Abra un foro de sostenibilidad (AB375) el Viernes, 23 de Septiembre, 2011 a las 8:00 AM en la sala de conferencias de las instalaciones del Council of Governments (Consejo de Gobierno —COG) ubicadas en el 555 E. Weber, Stockton, CA. Se favorece que el público en general participe y se cuestione el autor de esta enmienda — el Senador Darrell Steinberg que será el orador principal. Esta es una pieza de legislación complicada e impacta el Estado, la región, los condados y las ciudades en cuestión del desarrollo de los elementos de su Plan General para el uso de las tierras, propiedades y transportación. Ellos tienen que aprender los nuevos objetivos de esta ley para reducir las huellas de carbono por medio de su plan. También, en base a su planificación regional, todas las ciudades en la región deben coordinar sus Planes Generales para obedecer la ley. También las constructoras de vivienda son interesados ya que ellos tienen que desarrollas comunidades inteligentes sostenibles para obedecer esta ley. El público de estar interesado. El exitito de esta ley significa que habrá reducción de gases que causan contaminación y problemas de salud. La contaminación es responsable de enfermedades de salud las cuales nos afectan a todos. There will be Sustainability Forum (AB 375) on Friday, September 23, 2011, 08:00 AM at Council of Government (COG) board room, 555 E. Weber Avenue, Stockton, CA The public is encouraged to attend and ask questions of the law’s author, Senator, Darrell Steinberg who is the lead speaker. This is a complicated piece of legislation and impacts State, Regional, Counties and Cities when developing their General Plan elements for land use, housing and transportation. This new law aims to help achieve California’s greenhouse gas reduction objectives by promoting more efficient land use and development patterns. The California Air Resources Board (CARB) is directed to develop regional reduction for greenhouse gas emissions (GHG), and prompts the creation of regional plans to reduce emissions from vehicle use throughout the state. California’s 18 Metropolitan Planning Organizations (MPOS) have been tasked with creating “Sustainable Community Strategies” (SCS). The MPOS are required to develop the SCS through integrated land use and transportation planning and demonstrate an ability to attain the proposed reduction targets by 2020 and 2035. The stake holders are the County Supervisors, Mayors, City Council Members, and Planning Commissioners for they are responsible for following the new law. They must learn the objectives of the law to reduce the carbon imprint through the use of their General Plan. Also, through regional planning, all cities within the region must coordinate their General Plans to comply with the law. Developers are major stake holders as they must develop smart Sustainable Communities to comply with the law. Also, the law encourages infill development for cities by giving developers financial incentives. The public is a stakeholder. The success of this law means reduction of emission gasses that cause pollution and health problems. Pollution is responsible for health related illness that affect all of us. SB 375 encourages stopping urban sprawl to save farmlands, through infill, housing developments centered on transportation corridors and strategies. Here we go again! Almost the third year into his term of president, Obama is campaigning for re-election. One wonders what is next for America, and will President Obama win another term or not. Now on the other side, the republicans are staging an attack on president Obama as never before in the history of politics. The republican candidates are also coming out early on a bid for a candidate to take on President Obama in 2012. They themselves have started early to see who has the stamina and most of all, the money to get the nomination. The candidates vary in many ways but all seem to be going after each other more so than the last election. The issues are varied from immigration, to a balanced budget, but to date none have seemed to strike at the heart of the problem which is the economy and jobs. The President seemed to have a plan in his last speech but now it looks as though it will be another stimulus package to borrow more money. The issues for the President’s plan are more tax incentives for companies who hire more people, and increase the wages to help the economy. Other major issues are to continue more unemployment benefits for those who are still out of jobs. Although there was issues of our infrastructure, as in bridges, roads and other government projects that could get the economy going. One major issue that no one seemed to want to tackle was

Gobierno Estudiantil se prepara para batalla legal para retomar control de la Pulga en Delta
Es posible que una fundación de colegio acomode una cuenta de fondos restringidos que permiten a la asociación estudiantil ASBG el control absoluto al 100% en cómo se GASTA el dinero y también permite participación limitada en como el dinero se genera. Fundaciones hacen esto todo el tiempo para sus donantes y otras cuentas para respetar las intenciones del donante y asegurar que los fondos sean bien gastados al deseo del donante, mientras proporcionan un control financiero por personal profesional. ¿Porque tiene que ser diferente en ASBG? Chistoso, que esta opción no fue mencionada o tan siquiera considerada por el Presidente o los Fideicomisarios. Me pregunto porque.

Creo que los estudiantes son muy ignorantes para correr un mercado estilo pulga. Buen Mensaje Marsee! Marsee simplemente quiere el dinero y hace lo que se pueda para tomarlo en sus manos. Vean Lo que hizo en su escuela anteriormente. Casi la quebró financieramente y se tomó el dinero de ASB’s también..

Nos mantenemos tan ocupados en nuestras vidas diarias; que no nos damos cuenta de las cosas que ignoramos. Tome tiempo para besar a su esposo o esposa especial mente a sus bebes. La vida es muy preciosa no la tome a la ligera. Mi corazón se lo derramo a sus familias, recuerden a su ángel guardián que está en el cielo protegiéndolo. Que Dios lo bendiga.
¿SERA IS IT MUY TOO PRONTO? EARLY? ¡Aquí vamos nuevamente! Casi en su tercer año en su término como presidente, Obama está en campaña para reelección. Uno se pregunta que sigue para América, y el Presidente Obama lograra ganar un segundo término ó no. Ahora en por el otro lado, los republicanos están planeando un ataque contra Obama como nunca antes visto en la historia de la política. Los candidatos republicanos también se están postulando temprano intentando ser el candidato que desafiara al Presidente Obama en el 2012. Ellos mismo han iniciado temprano para ver quien tiene la energía y más que nada, el dinero para ser nominado(a). Los candidatos varean en muchas formas pero todos parecen estar el uno contra el otro aún más que la última elección. Los temas son variados entre inmigración, un presupuesto balanceado, pero hasta hoy ninguno pareciera pegarle al corazón del problema que es la economía y empleos. El Presidente pareciera que tiene un plan de acuerdo a su último discurso; pero, ahora se ve como que será otro conjunto de medidas de estímulo basado en préstamos de más dinero. Los asuntos del presidente son más incentivos de impuestos para compañías que contratan mas empleados, y aumentar los salarios para ayudarle a la economía. Otros asuntos de mayor importancia son el continuar los beneficios a los desempleados para aquellos que aun no tienen empleo. Aunque hay desafíos con nuestra infraestructura, como puentes, caminos y otros proyectos gubernamentales que pueden estimular la economía. Un tema principal que nadie quiere tomar es el de la salud. Todo lo que se dijo por los republicanos es que nosotros, los republicanos, necesitamos para la reforma de salud de Obama. Todos los candidatos fueron claros en decir que van a intentar y parar el plan de Obama. Otros temas que parecen estar revueltos entre los dos partidos es el de remover las tropas de Irak,

Student Government gearing for legal battle to regain control at Delta Flea Market It is possible for a college foundation to set up a restricted fund account that allows the ASBG 100% control over how the money is SPENT and also allows some participation in how the money is generated. Foundations do this all the time for donors and other accounts to respect the intentions of the donor and ensure funds are spent as the donor intended, while providing financial management by qualified staff. Why should it be any different for the ASBG? Funny, that option was not mentioned or even considered by the President or the Trustees. I wonder why. - Gina Marie

All that was said by republicans was that we, the republicans, need to stop Obama’s health care plan. Every candidate made it clear that they were going to try and stop Obamas plan. Other issues that seemed to be mixed by both parties were the pull out of our troops from Iraq, Afghanistan and Pakistan as soon as possible. Just listening to other comments made by candidates of both parties — neither party wants to give in. That will be one of the biggest mistakes that both parties are making. While that is happening the Tea Party is gaining ground on their plan to put the two party system out of business. It has taken about 30 years for this transformation of a new party to happen, while the two parties were slugging it out . The next revelation will be that our country as we know it will make a drastic transformation, one that we may not know. Will it be for the better, many do not think so. Even in the election coming up 14 months from now, it won’t bring any major changes in our economy until the country gets back on its feet on housing and jobs.
