MOTHER’S DAY BRUNCH
Thank you to everyone who joined us on another Big Canoe Travel Series excursion to see the Braves beat the Mets on April 9th. We are so delighted to bring outside trips back to Big Canoe. Your feedback on the trips has been great, and based on that, we return to the Fox to see Les Miserables in early June. The registration link is in this edition of Big Canoe Living, so please register early to save your spot on the bus
And on to our first half of summer planning with your friends, family, and neighbors Mother's Day is quickly approaching, and our Big Canoe tradition of a beautiful Mother's Day Brunch is available to register now. You never have to leave the gates to shop for Mom with all our amenity merchandise shops full of new gift items. On May 1st, the Wildcat pool opens for adult lap swimming, with our full outdoor Aquatics venues opening on Saturday, May 25th Full details about the Beach Club will be in the May 3rd edition of Big Canoe Living. Then, July 6th will be a Big Canoe Day to remember, with a concert and party in the park celebrating you and Independence Day. We beat the heat this year, or try to by kicking off the fun at 4 p.m. gathering on Playfield Park. You can begin to place your seats and blankets in the designated seating areas in the morning We invite you to bring your own beverages and enjoy some of Big Canoe's favorite Food Trucks. Don't forget to bring plenty of water. The 9-piece Great Grand Finale band takes the stage at 5 p m for a property owner concert you will not want to miss, followed at 9 p m by an Independence Day extravaganza
Cheers to summer in Big Canoe!

A fishing lesson can be arranged by emailing your name, your lot number, and cell phone number to me at jlipkowitz@bigcanoepoa.org. Keith will then contact you to arrange a time for the lesson. Mike Miller, Head Golf Professional at Big Canoe will continue his tradition of playing in the Yellow Birdie Bash to benefit Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta on April 22. He and his fellow PGA Professional, Jason McKinney from St Marlo play in this tournament each year. They also give golf lessons to patients at CHOA once per month through the PGA REACH Georgia foundation.
“We will be playing 72 holes as a 2-man Scramble format on April 22nd with the goal of making as many birdies as possible.” Anyone wanting to contribute can make a single donation of any dollar amount OR pledge an amount per birdie that Jason and I make that day! All of the money raised will be split between CHOA and the Georgia PGA Reach Foundation. Thank you Mike for “playing for a purpose”. If you would like to help by donating, click below

The Big Canoe Wildflower Bunch (WFB) Garden Club will hold its annual plant sale on Saturday, April 27th. This year the venue for the sale has been moved to the Chapel's three-tiered parking lot (across the street from the Racket Club). Ten percent of all proceeds go toward club projects and initiatives, which benefit Big Canoe and the surrounding area. Some vendors may not take credit cards or Venmo so please bring cash or checks to pay for purchases.
Invite your friends and neighbors! Garden club members with experience in dealing with the challenges of gardening in Big Canoe will be on hand to help you with your selections. Spring is here, and no matter if you are looking for trees, shrubs, perennials, or annuals you are sure to find something beautiful to add a fresh look to your garden.
