Who we are
The BHJ Dry Pet Food Ingredients team, based in Denmark, specializes in the development, production and selling of liquid palatants, with focus on the dry pet food industry. With twenty years of dedication and hard work, we have brought success and sustained growth to both our partners and ourselves. Today, BHJ is a recognized and respected supplier of liquid palatants across Europe and beyond. We service the markets from three manufacturing locations in Europe.

We have a science-based approach to formula creation. Our team of highly skilled R&D specialists work tirelessly to develop palatants that meet the specific requirements and expectations of our business partners. We continuously “ask” panels of cats and dogs to confirm their preference for our products – after all, it is their opinion that matters!
With a background in the human food industry, we understand the importance of quality and feed safety. We are very focused on product consistency and integrity. We source and control our ingredients closely, and we produce our products to specifications in a controlled environment under regulatory veterinary supervision. Our Food Safety Management System is GFSI-recognized and FSSC 22000 certified.

BHJ is dedicated to sustainability and has established group-wide greenhouse gas (GHG) emission reduction targets in accordance with climate science and the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi). These targets are aligned with the goal in the Paris Agreement to hold the increase in the global average temperature to well below 2°C above pre-industrial levels, and pursue efforts to limit the temperature increase to 1.5°C above pre-industrial levels.
