BCAP MEETING
Civic Offices
Coffee Morning Marriott Hotel, Bexleyheath (Danny from DWP)
Life story work is always important for our children and young people. If you have anything that contributes to life story work for our children, please email this to your SSW so it can be uploaded to the child’s life story.
Bexley Foster Carers Association would like to invite you to join the FCA.
We are a small group of volunteer foster carers who meet on a monthly basis to discuss your concerns. We take your concerns to the Managers who we meet with on a regular basis. We attend the BCAP meetings and a few of our members attend the Corporate Parenting Board meetings, raising awareness of foster carers concerns, addressing what is going well with the services, what needs improving and what is not working.
If a fostering family is having difficulties with the services and they bring their concerns to the FCA, we will contact the service/services providers and liaise on your behalf as well as supporting you throughout the process. If needed, a member of the FCA will attend meetings with you. Your local FCA works with the department to provide a better service for the CLA and all our foster carers. FCA provides a monthly support group with breakfast to all Bexley foster carers, come and join us.
