ogan County offers a menagerie of local landmarks including the first concrete street in America (Court Street), built in 1891 by George Bartholomew,
McKinley Street, the shortest street in America at “about 15
feet” and Campbell Hill, the highest point in Ohio at 1,549 feet above sea level. Ohio Hi-Point Career Center is currently located at this site. Zanesfield, a quaint village of less than 300 people, is full of history. Named after Isaac Zane, who was captured by a Wyandot Indian tribe in 1762, Zanesfield has rich and beautiful landscapes for everyone to explore. Indian Lake is known as the 5800 acre water playground with 30 miles

MAD RIVER MOUNTAIN
OHIO CAVERNS
Celebrating its 50th anniversary in 2012, Mad River Mountain is the place for winter family fun, offering a wide variety of activities. You will find 24 trails, 144 acres if skiable terrain, 12 lifts, 133 fan guns, 2 terrain parks, midnight madness, and the Avalanche Tubing Park which has 10 chutes, 2 lifts, and 600 tubes. Mad River Mountain is located off State Route 33 within one hour from Columbus, Dayton, Springfield, and Lima. Mad River Mountain’s season runs December through March (weather permitting)
The largest and most beautiful of all Ohio Caves. The Caverns are open year round and feature and exquisite display of stalactite and stalagmite formations. The diversity of formations and unexcelled coloring are all the more interesting because they are still in the process of development. The Caverns stay a constant 54 degrees Fahrenheit, perfect for a visit any time of year.
INDIAN LAKE
Beautiful Indian Lake is your place to relax, renew and rediscover. Rent a cottage and boat for the weekend and explore nature, go fishing or just relax. The lake offers numerous inlets with opportunities to dock and dine. Indian Lake is known throughout the region for the Beach Spectacular & Fireworks display, which many visitors choose to view from the water or from Old Field Beach. Indian Lake State Park hosts over 80 fishing tournaments annually, there is a 3-mile paved bikeway open to hikers and joggers located on the West and South Banks between Old Field Beach and Russells Point. There are two public swimming beaches, Old Field Beach and Fox Island.
PIATT CASTLES Celebrating being open for tours 100 years in 2012 the Castle Mac-A-Cheek and Castle Mac-O-Chee located just outside of West Liberty, were built in the late 19th century by two brothers, Brigadier General Abram Piatt and Colonel Donn Piatt. Discover where the Piatt family came from, how they made a living, and how each generation adapted their house during changing times. Both Piatt Castles are listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
ORR MANSION & LOGAN COUNTY MUSEUM
In 1906, lumber baron William J. Orr began building his dream home in Bellefontaine. The Mansion took two years to build. The Logan County Historical Society has overseen the extensive historic renovation of the mansion in order to bring the home back to his original grandeur. The Logan County Museum is located at the rear of the Orr Mansion. The museum includes more than a dozen rooms dedicated to a particular theme, area or subject of Logan County or American History.
HOLLAND THEATRE
Built in 1931, the Holland Theatre is a historic, atmospheric motion picture theatre. The interior of the auditorium is a one-of-a-kind recreation of a Holland town, lined with replicas of canal houses and windmills. It is the only Dutch-themed theatre in the United States and is on the National Register of Historic Places.
