CARSON'S HOUSE

THE swagest way to get to know a city

—eat! As professional foodies who can’t wait to share our cuisine experiences in Southern California we set out to find our hottest picks. The first place we hit is the swanky Carson's House which recently began serving lunch. Restaurant co-owner Scott Paletz (Steve Fowler the other owner) greeted and seated us and put us in the hands of our very sexy waiter Emmet Bell. We tried not to get lost in his sky blue eyes as we listened to his explanation of the lunch menu. It wasn’t easy! We ordered the Chefs Special Short Rib Dip which is braised for 12 hours in

root beer, red wine, and coffee, then served with crispy onions, and horseradish cream on a French baguette. Mamas Meatballs Sub marinated with the oh-so-secret Chef Johnny Messina family marinara (Johnny's mother is his mentor) topped with Parmesan shaves on a French baguette. It was like eating homemade at grandmas. The Whitey Flat Bread with roasted garlic, spinach artichoke heart, ricotta, crispy basil and olive oil was to TO DIE FOR! And, the Big Salad— turkey, bacon, avocado, egg, swiss, cucumber, tomato, blue cheese, red wine vinaigrette (you can add Salmon or chicken) was delicious and healthy. The best was dessert! Tres sexy Chef Johnny made us fresh brownies and chocolate chip cookies. YUM! Our tongues made-out with our new sweethearts: the cookies! These tight dishes aren’t on the menu, but Johnny wanted to spoil us! Maybe if you ask nicely he’ll whip it up for you too :)))) Through lunch we enjoyed a delectable peach beer (there are 60 beers to choose from) and it tasted like a Bellini splashed with beer. Unique and super swag! The food was bomb; the decor was hip and artsy and the staff was super friendly with fun music. Overall it’s a fabulous place.

Chef Johnny Messina

Sexy and single, this alluring Sicilian considers himself an emotional chef. He lives in Hermosa Beach, loves art, color and sexy passionate girls, but says he considers himself a food monk. That’s why he wears a black ring and says he is married to the kitchen. Who will be the lucky girl to steal this passionate Italian’s heart? For the meantime, we can all enjoy his sexy cooking. sUGARFISH

OH dear sugarFISH may we marry you? Oh “NO” you

say. Well, we will definitely make love to you again and again and again. Sugarfish is one of the most delicious sushi restaurants around. It’s hip, swagy, loud, sexy, and formidable. It’s first-come-first-serve so if you’re starving get there before 7:00PM, or be ready to wait—it’s worth it! Chef Kazunori Nozawa is known for his trust-memenu and his no-bullshitno Americanized sushi rolls. If you don’t want the trust-memenu pick any of the delicious a la carte delights. You won’t be disappointed. The Beverly Hills location is his seventh Sugarfish restaurant with another opening in New York. The one in Beverly Hills is different with its sexy and secluded Nazowa Bar for 10 and reservations ONLY seating. We stayed up front in the restaurant... it was filled with delicious man candy we didn’t want to miss. Sexy music and a swag lounge sealed the deal. We had the Nozawa trust-me-menu. The Halibut sushi was divine. The highlight of dinner was the meltin-your-mouth Toro Cut Roll served warm and crunchy, was orgasmic! The Lobster roll was absolutely YUM, the Blue Crab Roll was Gustatory and Unaghi was Saporific . Every bite was absolutely abrosial. They don’t serve dessert because the Chef wants customers leaving his restaurant with a sushi taste in their mouths. It’s an ecstatic experience. l sugarFISH Beverly Hills 310.276.6900 212 North Canon Drive, Beverly Hills, CA 90210 Monday thru Saturday — 11:30AM to 10:00PM Sunday — Noon to 9:00PM Dinner Service Begins — 3:30PM
