‘ENVIRONMENTAL JUSTICE EARTH DAY’ is a Resolution approved by the National NAACP and written by the Nashville Branch to stress environmental injustice and pollution ALLIES

GOAL Develop awareness of polluted planet Earth, activate students and citizens, film and video for our web site, Face book, and training films concerning government decision making . Develop marketing program. Develop awareness of polluted landfills. Edit back log of film ‘Environmental Justice Earth Day’ Activities Seniors, students, and children doing environmental art using recovered and recycled material; spoken word; healthy food, educate and demonstrate environmental injustice --SPEAKERS RELATED EVENTS Early April, Chancery Court hearing, Jackson Landfill—Nashville; Earth Day, 20 April Centennial Park; Monday, 22 April, ‘Environmental Justice Earth Day’ (Hadley Park); “The Toxies”, early June; edit back log of accumulated film FILM METHOD Use existing film (General Assembly hearings and television news), newspaper stories and photographs, footage from our events, filmed interviews at landfills NEEDS Editors---existing film at General Assembly—includes 7 hours of hearings July 2012; 45 minute hearing 19 December 2012; three 10 minute testimony during 2012; Get Rights to news channel footage on landfills; Film at Environmental Justice Earth Day and Earth Day Camera and film---Can equipment vary from high grade phone to high density video? Event development---promote with TSU students, Hadley Towers, NAACP Branches including university NAACP Branches; young 20—30 professionals. Develop Planning Schedule ---secure healthy food---fruit, good bread, water , coffee ----develop program and participation—speaker, skits, music? ----manage filming, release, proper names, and e-mail BUDGET Needs Underwriters---healthy food stores; Krogers—North Nashville; Bank, clean bbusienss?
