THE BREWER’S ROLE

Craft Beer
Snowdon Craft Beer is an independently owned brewery based just outside the popular seaside town of Llandudno on the North Wales coast. We’re inspired by what makes Wales such a popular place to visit – the miles of pristine beaches, immense mountains and towering castles, not to mention the fine food, drink and people!
malt give our Porter it’s rich, complex coffee and cocoa flavour.
A small addition of Continental hops added at the start of the boil gives a balanced bitterness with lashings of citrus, zesty hops dry-hopped to the fermenter a few days after the brewing’s finished to make our IPAs lush and juicy.
On The Hop
Our expert brewers have honed our recipes and perfected our pour so that every last drop is as good as the first. A true taste of Wales, our hand-crafted beers are made locally with quenching water from Snowdonia’s deep mountain reservoirs.

We source the finest malted barley in the UK which is roasted to our needs. Pale Ale malts are the foundation to which we add lightly toasted Caramalt and Crystal Malt for biscuit and toffee flavours in our IPA, Summit and Bitter. Heavily roasted Black and Chocolate
The yeast is the star of the show for our premium Lager and we work it hard to give the signature crisp flavour and clean aroma of Snowdon Craft. Utterly refreshing with a dry finish.
Of course, we also like to do our bit for the environment that inspires us – our spent malt goes to a local farm to feed the cattle, the hops are used as mulch in gardens and we use the heat from brewing one day to heat water for the next. We hope you enjoy the beer! Cheers!

Colwyn Bay, N. Wales You’ve read about the brewery, now drink the beer. Jam packed with 4 different hops including the wonderful German Mandarina imparting a sweet tangerine taste on the tongue
Kidderminster, Worcs. Every year the Hobson’s team look forward to the autumn hop pick; from bine to brew in a few hours. The Challenger hops are picked at 9am and by lunchtime they’re in the brew.
Ilkley, W. Yorks. Pours a clear amber with a small white head. The aroma is bready malts with subdued hoppy tones. Light bodied with a long bitter finish, there’s a lot of flavour for a fairly low ABV
Oswestry, Salop No prizes for guessing the dominant flavours in this dark beer. The use of oats in the brew gives a nice chewy mouthfeel and the lower ABV makes it very drinkable. Great with strong cheese
Flimwell, E. Sussex The guys at Cellarhead have created a great range of beers to appeal to everyone. This is a really crazy, hazy orange IPA with loads of pineapple and tropical fruit flavours. Great label too
London W10 Deep gold in colour with a slight head and moderate carbonation. Malty at the front but the zingy citrus fruit flavours develop in the mouth leading to a long, bitter grapefruit finish
Leamington Spa, Warks. The brewery began life 25 years ago in an old village bakery using repurposed dairy tanks as the fermenters. It’s a deep red colour with strong hints of marmalade and orange peel
Manchester Another brewery that started life in a bakery! Umbra is brewed in the classic ‘Mild’ style, not too strong, gently hopped and slightly sweet. Light bodied, it’s less gloopy than a stout
Driffield, E. Yorks. A pretty punchy traditional English IPA with a lovely boozy sweetness on the tongue. Pouring bright golden with a hint of citrus and a nice big fluffy head. Perfect with a curry
Bromsgrove, Worcs. This is a collaboration with the neighbouring Bewdley Brewery. It’s a traditional stout brewed with 100% British ingredients. The body’s quite light with lots of dark malt and raisins
Nottingham Brewed at the home of the Champion Beer of Nottingham, it’s an American Pale Ale with lots of Citra, Chinook and Simcoe hops. Bottle conditioned with a lovely sharp edge
Redruth, Cornwall Celebrating their 25th anniversary this year having started life in a disused stable block, Keltek is thriving. This dark brown porter is named after a traditional Cornish rowing boat
