Our Belonging Council brings together Fort Dearborn Title, Prosperity Home Mortgage and HomeServices Insurance and BHHS Chicago leaders, agents and employees to share perspectives and purpose. As a group, we will explore ways to improve and to take action to make our industry and our company more diverse, more equitable and more inclusive, so that we can help more people Move Confidently.

BELONGING IN ACTION The Belonging Council exists to thoughtfully, purposefully and proactively consider inclusion and diversity in our planning, our thinking and in our engagement. The Council will be made up of agents, employees, managers and executives, who represent the branch offices, departments, and business units. We will meet quarterly to share ideas, celebrate successes, consider challenges and adopt action plans to achieve measureable results. The meeting location will rotate through the BHHS Chicago market area. Council members may also lead community events and represent BHHS Chicago at industry gatherings, and may also organize activities in their branch office or business unit. Council members are asked to serve one-year, renewable terms.
2022 GOALS Establish a visible presence for BHHS Chicago within industry groups like WCR, AREAA, NAHREP, LGBTQ+ Alliance, to build on the BHHS national partnerships. Encourage greater engagement among BHHS Agents. Build awareness for BHHS Chicago diversity, equity and inclusion initiatives, and educate more people about Prosperity lending programs that assist under-resourced potential buyers. Find high-impact community engagement opportunities, and encourage branch offices to participate in community events that support expanded homeownership. Understand the makeup of our current agent and employee population, compared to the population we serve to identify gaps. Host quarterly speaker events, Fair Housing education and cultural programming. All BHHS Chicago managers and leaders will complete At Home with Diversity training. Identify opportunities to expand the areas we serve through agent entrepreneur offices. Create recognition for all agents, managers and employees who hold leadership positions in industry groups.
