My fellow lovers of the arts, Welcome to bergenPAC! Thank you for being here! Phase one of our renovations and restoration are now complete! We have been working hard to make your memories last a lifetime! Thanks to the tenacity and dedication of our Founder, Frank Huttle III, President of the Board, Bob Cook, and the Board of Trustees, we are sitting here today! Their passion for bergenPAC is motivating and inspiring for everyone. A very special thank you to our generous individual donors, corporate and foundation partners, and you, our patrons for supporting our Capital Campaign. In August of 2022, I was appointed the new Executive Director after serving 12 years as the Director of Education and Outreach of this incredible organization. I walked into our temporary offices in the dressing rooms, paced through the demolished lobby, and stood in an empty theater filled with scaffolds and paint buckets. I was filled with hope and excitement. I knew the future was bright as I envisioned thousands of you, our patrons, walking through the doors and having the experience of a lifetime. As we forge our way into the future our goal is to continue to make LIVE performing arts and arts education accessible to everyone! Our lineup of artists is extremely diverse, offering incredible experiences in all artistic genres. The stage offers more than just a show, it symbolizes hope for young artists training at our performing arts school. The Performing Arts School is fully immersed with a professional faculty who nurture and train our students in dance, music and theater to be the stars of tomorrow. Our scholarship fund ensures that no child is turned away due to an inability to pay. Through our Beyond bergenPAC program we bring arts education to schools and organizations across the state. We are here to make OUR HOME | YOUR HOME. This is the heart of our mission as a nonprofit 501 (c) 3 organization. There are many ways for you to get involved with bergenPAC, from attending shows and taking classes, to becoming a member or treating your loved ones to a family membership. bergenPAC is back and can make it happen! We appreciate you joining us today for the next chapter in bergenPAC’s story. Now sit back, relax, and enjoy the show!
Alexander Diaz Executive Director
Dear Friends, Welcome to Bergen Performing Arts Center – Our Home, Your Home. I am incredibly grateful for the opportunity to serve as the Board of Trustees Chair. I have been part of the bergenPAC family since its inception and maintained a strong passion to keep the arts alive and accessible in our community throughout my career in public service. In 2003, as Chairwoman to the Bergen County Board of Chosen Freeholders, I assisted in establishing bergenPAC after the John Harms Theater closed its doors. Having served eight terms in the New Jersey State Assembly, I was a member of the Gaming, Tourism, and Arts Committee and an ex-officio for the New Jersey State Council on the Arts. bergenPAC was founded to be your home for live entertainment and quality arts education. Its mission is to make the arts more accessible. However, we are much more than a theater! The Performing Arts School at bergenPAC nurtures 1,000 students in a variety of disciplines and has an educational outreach program that impacts another 15,000 students in districts across the state. In keeping with our mission, our scholarship fund ensures that no child is ever turned away because they cannot afford the full tuition. Another highlight is Voices in Harmony, a unique program that holds workshops for students with special needs and culminates with a truly heartwarming musical and dance showcase in the theater. These initiatives and so much more are what makes bergenPAC a true cultural jewel for the northern New Jersey region and beyond. We can only do this because of you. The support of our individual donors, corporate, and foundation partners makes our mission possible. We should all be proud and take a bow as we celebrate all that we accomplished working together to benefit our community. Sincerely,
Valerie Vainieri Huttle Board Chair

BERGEN PERFORMING ARTS CENTER UNVEILS NEW LOBBY WITH DEDICATION CEREMONY
Eileen proud is proud to help bergenPAC sustain its place as the region’s home for cultural entertainment and arts education for future generations to enjoy – and honor her parent’s legacy. “My parents didn’t have much money, but they were more than generous with what they did have. Our house was rich with the love of family, country, community, and music,” she said. “The bergenPAC’s goal of bringing a community together for the joy of sharing music and dance is deeply valued by the entire Murray family.” “It’s fitting that a space designed with such care to welcome people and make them feel at home before enjoying world-class entertainment would have Bridget’s and James’ names. I want to thank others in advance for making the berganPAC’s Capital Campaign successful,” said Eileen Murray.

ARTS ACCESS INITIATIVE Since 2016, Bergen Performing Arts Center has been at the forefront of improving equitable access to live entertainment. Rooted in diversity and inclusion, the Arts Access Initiative was designed to reach under-resourced residents of the community. Free tickets are available for every presented show at bergenPAC thanks to the generosity of grants from private and corporate foundations. Over 80 organizations, serving children through seniors, participate, with 46,000 tickets distributed since the program launched to individuals who otherwise would be unable to visit the theatre due to financial limitations. The positive effects of this unique program have been far reaching in the northern New Jersey region, proving that exposure to the arts is essential to residents’ wellbeing, social emotional engagement, and cultural enrichment. Aligned with our mission, the Arts Access Initiative bridges the community by engaging residents from different backgrounds to experience the joy of live performing arts together.
Organizations can visit bergenpac.org/artsaccess for more information on how to join.
“The greatest strength of this project is to be able to get children interested in the arts, having them explore new things, and being able to spend time with family/caregivers outside of their home. The children we serve will potentially benefit from this added enrichment to their lives while living in foster care.” - CASA for Children
