Orientation Student Coordinator for Orientation Communication & Marketing
2024-2025
Highly motivated, enthusiastic, positive students, with an attention to detail, who are looking to enhance their leadership skills by serving as role models, guides and mentors to the Orientation Team, new students and families at Bentley University.
The Student Coordinator role will begin in December 2024 and complete the orientation program, September 2025. The students selected for these positions will work approximately 5 hours each week through the spring semester. In the summer beginning July 8th, Student Coordinators work approximately 30 hours weekly in-person/ on campus, with additional hours on pre-scheduled Fridays and some evenings as needed. Student Coordinators must be available for scheduled office hours, team trainings and the orientation program without any additional commitments.
Throughout the orientation program, student coordinators will work a cap of 60 hours and will be outlined and discussed in the summer as we get close to it.
Regardless of collateral assignments, all Student Coordinators will be responsible for helping to create a cohesive orientation team and holistic experience for incoming students in conjunction with the professional members of the Orientation Central Staff.

Staff must be available for the following commitments with recruitment, training, and program execution:
Externship Commitments Spring 2025:
• Orientation Team Study Break- December 10th, 2024
• Implicit Bias Training - January 2025
• Orientation Team Recruitment & Selection – January & February
• Accepted Students Day
• Team meetings including:
▪ Bi-weekly check-in meetings
▪ Weekly team meetings
▪ 2 meetings with full Student Coordinator & Orientation Assistant team
▪ Student Leader Retreat
▪ Orientation Team Meeting
• Create flyer for Admitted Students Day
• Generate content for social media accounts including the @welcomefalcons Instagram account including Tech Tip Tuesday, Where in the World Wednesday, Tasty Thursday, and Team Spotlights
• Support team recruitment including the creation of the team recruitment and other team video
• Support the update of Online Orientation for incoming students
Internship Commitments Summer 2025:
• Individual & Team meetings including:

• New Falcon NESTworking & Falcon Live Chat Programs

• Create videos for the orientation program including the team introduction & other videos for the program
• Assist with creating & updating content on the Orientation Campus Groups App
• Design printed materials for the orientation program

More information regarding spring/summer hours, team training, and the Orientation Program will be discussed with the central staff team upon offer.
Please note that we may need to adjust the role or modality of the program due to public health concerns (i.e., Covid-19) or extenuating circumstances as needed.
In order to be hired for this position, you must be in good judicial standings with the University and, also, have a GPA of at least 2.7.
Compensation will be shared with a successful offer.
