2021 Bentley University Orientation Leaders (OLs): Highly motivated, enthusiastic, positive students, with an attention to detail, who are looking to enhance their leadership skills by serving as role models, guides and mentors for new students and families at Bentley University. All orientation staff will lead with the Bentley Core Values and be: I. Professional II. Globally minded III. Comfortable facilitating activities IV. A team player V. Excited about Bentley VI. Flexible VII. Committed to Racial Justice and building and inclusive environment Orientation Leaders (OLs) are responsible for helping welcome all new falcons to our diverse Bentley University Community. OLs must be knowledgeable of University resources and the various opportunities available to incoming students. OLs will assigned a group of new students (including first-year, transfer, exchange students, and remote learners) to mentor during the Orientation Program and beyond. It will be the responsibility of the OLs to:   

Create an inclusive community within their groups through icebreakers, group meetings, and one on ones. Lead new students to sessions, facilitate small group conversations, fill any down-time in schedule, and be the primary resource throughout the new student transition. Execute various operational tasks (based on individual abilities)

Every OL plays an essential role in the onboarding process, the Orientation Program as well as throughout the first semester as new students adjust to life as a Bentley Falcon. Successful candidates will participate in a robust training to develop and enhance skills and knowledge necessary to support the new students. Please be advised that there may be other duties as assigned. Staff must be available for training and program execution. Dates will be provided with offer. Please note,that we may need to adjust the role, modality of the program, or needs given the current situation with the COVD19 pandemic. We are committed to transparency throughout the process and working with staff as adjustments arise. Academic/Conduct Requirement: Please be aware, that in order to be hired for this position, you must be in good judicial standings with the University and, also, have a GPA of at least 2.5. *Providing a welcoming environment for all new and future falcons is important, and we may request your help at programs such as Admitted Students Day and Open House.
