Dear Partner, The first quarter of the new-year is over, how time flies! Reminds me that we need to redeem time for the days are evil.

This is a time dreaded internally due to the vigor of the budgeting period but very crucial because it gives us focus on the way forward in the next financial year for projects we will undertake. We are always in awe to see what God has in place for His people in the coming months.

CBN is a faith-based organization in every literal sense. We budget by faith, and live the year by faith, expectant that the Lord will give according to the measure of our faith and for sure He is faithful.

During the process we choose to give thanks. This is because we have learnt that being grateful makes us notice the many blessings that have come our way.

emotional health as well as reduces negative emotions like anger, resentment, envy & frustration?. Thanksgiving is neither easy nor natural but it is in our control to be grateful. We are naturally predisposed to pay more attention to the bad, to complaining and murmuring. That is why we teach children to say thank you, otherwise they are inclined to just grab things from our hands and run off. Sadly, many times this is what we do to our Father, however we can choose to have an attitude of thanksgiving.

One of our highlights when we go out to the villages to dedicate new clean water wells, or when visiting with orphaned children being fed and educated through our programs, or reading a testimony sent by a viewer who has given their life to Christ, is the way they express their gratitude and give glory to God. The songs and dance are a wonderful sight to behold and we know they bring joy to our savior.

Thank you our partners, the difference you make is eternal, may someone walk upto you in heaven and say...

“thank you for giving to the Lord, I am a life that was changed, thank you for giving to the Lord, am so glad that you gave!”

Water Wells in Turkana In the second week of March we dedicated 3 clean water wells that were drilled in partnership with Cornerstone Faith Assemblies in Turkana North and Central and well as distributed dry cereals and cooking oil donated by partners of CFA. We witnessed over 70 souls come to the Lord during the dedication as a result of this act of compassion to the needy. We know for sure that in the villages where clean water is at close proximity, deaths are

not being reported, unlike what has been in the media for villages which have no access to water. At Ekwar, Nakalesso and Losol villages this is a new lease of life. We are praying for more partners who will join in and help us dig the 40 planned wells in the region to eliminate hunger.

At CBN we strive to avert life threatening needs as much as possible rather than cure.

Superbook club in Mathare: Superbook is the Bible brought to life through animation—a timeless form of storytelling—to introduce children to Jesus and help develop their faith. CBN's Superbook Clubs has been created to bring these stories to children in schools, churches and all around the world.

I had the chance to visit one of our Superbook Clubs in Mathare a few weeks ago. For sure our children are yearning for the word of God, and they want to know the Bible. On that Saturday at around 1.30pm children started arriving at Mama Africa Pendo, to attend Superbook Club class. Amazingly the children leave their homes early in the morning for remidial lessons in their schools, and instead of going home first, they always hang around to wait for the afternoon to attend the club. They said they do not want to miss out at all in any of the activities at the club because they learn alot and have fun.

By 2.00pm a total of 52 children were seated and eagerly waiting to watch an episode. They watched “The Ten Commandments” (Exodus 20). On the classrooms wall hung

neatly written charts with the Ten Commandments. It was such a joy to be part of the club and to witness how excited these children were.

We ate Snacks as we recited the Ten Commandments, we also danced and it was all smiles as we enjoyed together. Before the class ended a letter from Gizmo was read. At 3:30pm we were through with the Superbook class and the children found their parents waiting to pick them outside.

It is through your support that we are able to reach out to children here in Kenya and beyond. Thank you for helping us engage the next generation with the word of God and building a strong foundation in their lives!

God Says You Can!!!!

When God says you can, there’s no circumstance or person that can alter what God has promised.

You are the only one who can stop yourself from getting the promise. Today what dream did you wake up with, what dream have you had from childhood or young age and it seems difficult for you to attain? Have you prayed about it? Do you know that God is able to make all your dreams come true?

Proverbs 29:18 “Where there’s no vision, the people perish” Our God wants us to have our dreams and desires bigger than ourselves because if they are big

then we will totally depend on him to see them come to fulfillment. If the challenge is bigger than you, you will trust God more but simple dreams take or reduce the trust we need to have in God, yet God loves us to dream and desire greater things than our obstacles or fears. Dare to dream big today and put your trust and confidence in Christ alone, just like Peter; as long as his eyes were focused on Jesus Christ, Peter walked on Water, but the moment he took his eyes off Jesus and was over taken by things that surrounded him then he began to sink. Matthew 14:28-31.

What’s your need today? Walking on water? achieving that long awaited dream? keep your eyes focused on God because He said you can!

Dear Lord Jesus, I pray for every woman and man that has read this devotional, I pray that they will not waver in faith or lose focus but they will keep their eyes on you because you said, THEY CAN! In Jesus’ name!

Sheilla : CBN Kenya We appreciate the avenue God has created for us in order to minister to those who reach out to us with various spiritual needs and prayer requests. Below, are some of the praise reports from our viewers.

I am a Kenyan who watches the 700 Club. Through Word of Knowledge, I have received healing on many occasions. Last year I received healing for my brother who had TB and blood pressure of 85/50, everyone had given up on him. My brother is not born again, he was far back at home but I received on his behalf. Glory be to God Jehovah Rapha. I flood the throne of God with thanksgiving.

I had four major surgeries sometime back and the chance of survival was almost zero, God saved me. That was my turning point. It’s with a lot of joy that I testify of my healing as I

watched your program. The viewers were asked to place their hands where it pained. I had chest pains which was very disturbing to me .When you prayed against lung cancer, my tears rolled and I have not had the pain again. Am healed and it feels so good. I always feel blessed whenever I watch CBN programs on CTN channel.

GIVING HOPE PROMISING LOVE Jamal’s Joy Returns Jamal is a 2nd grade student at a Missions of Hope International Center, an incredible outreach supported by Orphan’s Promise in Korogocho, Nairobi Kenya. He joined the center in 2014 at the Nursery level and has been consistent in school attendance despite some difficult family challenges that caused him to repeat a pre-school grade.

Jamal comes from a very humble background and poverty has been the hallmark of his childhood. He lives with his elderly grandmother in the Korogocho slums along with his five siblings. His father passed away in 2012, and unfortunately his mother suffered a head injury which left her incapacitated in 2014. She is always in and out of the hospital and tragically this has completely decimated the family’s emotional and financial reserves.

Due to difficult conditions at home, Jamal’s basic needs

were not being met. Despite all these challenges, the school has been very helpful in supporting Jamal and his family. In partnership with MOHI, Orphan’s Promise has been able to support Jamal through free quality education, medical services at MOHI’s Pangani clinic, ensuring proper nutrition through the feeding program at school and emotional support through counseling and spiritual discipleship.

Social workers and support staff from the center have gone the extra mile to connect the family with other agencies in the community that work to help support struggling families living in the Korogocho slums. They offer other forms of help, including supplemental food and clothing for the family. All these efforts have enabled Jamal to continue pursuing his education despite obstacles that could have derailed his future. Thanks to Biblical Christian foundation that has been established in his heart, Jamal has remained strong, hopeful and joyful at school and at home. He continues to pray and truly believes that his mother will be completely healed one day.

Ministry to Street Children

Across Kenya, thousands of children live on the streets where they suffer from hunger, violence, poverty, physical and psychological abuse. CBN’s Orphan's Promise East Africa is determined to see that change. February this year, we had a wonderful time reaching out to the street children from different streets and slums of Nairobi. The radiance and smiles from these children was so heartwarming. We interacted through a thrilling football match, shared a meal together and most

importantly, the word of God. The theme was #Food #Fun & #Fellowship. We went to share our love to them but in turn we were so amazed by how much love they showered back to us. We later shared the gospel with them. We thank God for the 5 boys who gave their life to Christ.

We pray to reach out more with the love of Christ during the year as we hope to impact for a lifetime.

I was eyes to the blind, and I was feet to the the lame. I was a father to the poor, and I searched out the case that I did not know. Job 29:15-16
