FORT BENNING

will host the seventh annual Fort Benning Field Day for Tri-Community Exceptional Children April 23 on Main Post. This is an opportunity for the community’s exceptional children to experience a day of fun, food and interactive sporting events and activities celebrating each child’s unique abilities. The event is held on York and StewartWatson Fields and at Smith Fitness Center. Participants include students from Fort Benning Schools, Lee County, Fort Benning Homeschoolers, Chattahoochee County, Phenix City,

Russell County, Muscogee County and Harris County. Approximately 1,200 student athletes and 1,200 volunteers will attend this event, which starts at 9am and ends at around 1pm. Each athlete will receive a medal and will go home with a happy and smiling face. Activities include (subject to change): ATHLETES 7 AND YOUNGER
