In this image-based section of the book, we look at how people feel about Artificial Intelligence through the eyes of DALL-E2. It’s a challenging aspect of the rise of AI, the effect it has on our brains. We have out-evolved our own brains, and now are beginning to see the consequences. How is one supposed to cope with seeing their own face in a pornographic film they never shot? How can artists live comfortably knowing their livelihood is under threat? How can someone mentally deal with seeing their deceased loved-one reanimated in an utterly convincing manner?
The rest of this century will likely be spent grappling with what it is to be a human artist. Understanding the difference and importance of human-made art is vital for it’s own preservation.
This section of the book is a collaboration between human and artificial intelligence. Brain and code. The reason being to show the amazing tool this new technology can be. The general opinion on AI is uncertain these days - but the future of AI is in our hands. Do we embrace the technology and collaborate with it? Or will we resort to human’s typical ‘us and them’ ways?
