I’m Helen Tandy, Founding Director of Eco Communities, Partner at Castlefield, and a Chartered Financial Adviser. September 25 starts a shift in my focus; I’m reducing my time in the Castlefield partnership to focus on Eco Communities. I want my not for profit to support businesses achieve sustainability accreditations and embed environmentally responsible practices into their operations.

I have over 30 years of experience in financial services, including two decades as an ethical investment specialist, I have dedicated my career to helping people and businesses make values-led financial and sustainability decisions with their money.

As Castlefield’s Carbon Literacy Trainer, I also lead our Net Zero project, now in its fourth year of reporting, driving measurable action to reduce emissions across the organisation. In 2019, Castlefield proudly achieved Carbon Literacy Silver Accreditation for our sustainability efforts, a milestone that reflects my commitment to creating meaningful change.

I’m honoured to be recognised as a Finalist in the Women in Green Business Awards 2025, in both Sustainable Investment Professional and Sustainable Business Lead categories, and to have been nominated in Business Green’s 2025 Top 50 in Net Zero.
