Cheshire College celebrates student success on results day

Over 1,000 students at Cheshire College – South & West are celebrating as they receive their A Level, BTEC and T Level results - marking the end of a chapter in their education and the beginning of exciting new journeys.

At the College’s three campuses, students gathered with friends, family and tutors to celebrate their results and reflect on their achievements.

“It’s a privilege to celebrate the achievements of the class of 2025,” said Principal and CEO Jasbir Dhesi OBE. “They’ve worked incredibly hard and today is about recognising not only what they have accomplished but also the exciting futures that lie ahead.”

Students from the College’s campuses in Ellesmere Port, Chester and Crewe have excelled.

Students on BTEC programmes have received results in key sectors including Health, Engineering, Science, and Digital, securing a remarkable pass rate of 98.2% and with an impressive 47.1% achieving top Distinction grades in their qualification.

Many students are now preparing to take up places at universities across the UK, including Russell Group institutions, or starting apprenticeships and entering the world of work.

Student Lilia Vernon achieved a grade A in the T Level in Education and Childcare at the Ellesmere Port Campus and is now preparing to go to university.

Reflecting on her achievement, she said, “My experience at Cheshire College was an exciting chapter in my education and I’m so pleased to have the grade to move on to my next step of studying primary education at Liverpool John Moores.”

Another standout is Hannah, who achieved the high grades of D*DD in Uniformed Protective Services and is now heading to The University of Chester to study Professional Policing.

“The College has been so supportive in helping me get the grades I need to get into university. When I was younger, I wanted to be a police officer, and now I'm going to university to achieve it.”

A Level students from Crewe Campus study a broad curriculum with 30 A Level subjects to choose from, achieving outstanding results including 100% pass rate in 13 subject areas such as English

Language and Literature, Geography and History. Students studying creative A Level courses are among the top performers with excellent pass rates, including an impressive 100% of students achieving A*- A grades in Textiles. Among the students celebrating is Daniel, who achieved AAA* in A Level English Language, Psychology and Sociology. He commented: “I’ll be going to the University of Manchester to study Psychology. The personal development tutors at the College have been very helpful with the whole university processes—they sat me down, talked me through the entire process, and gave me advice.”

“Their results reflect not only academic achievement,” Dhesi added, “but also the resilience, adaptability and determination they’ve shown throughout their time with us. We are immensely proud of every learner and look forward to seeing where their next steps take them.”

As students embark on their next steps, the College is encouraging them to stay connected by joining the Alumni Community. By signing up at Alumni Community - Cheshire College South & West, former students can continue to access support from the College and its Careers Team, stay informed about opportunities, and return to campus to inspire the next generation of students.
