Welcome to the Autumn edition of our Quarterly Business Magazine

And just like that, Summer is behind us. Some people say that it can be a quiet season, but that certainly hasn’t been the case for the Chamber! It has been a brilliant few months of supporting members, engaging with the community and ensuring that we’ve represented your thoughts and opinions at a variety of meetings.

I was delighted to attend the British Chambers of Commerce’s Annual Conference in June which focused on "Where's the Growth?". It was a jam-packed day with keynote speeches from Prime Minister Rt Hon Sir Keir Starmer and the Rt Hon Kemi Badenoch MP, it really hits home the impact the Chamber network and its members have on the business landscape across the UK.

We now turn our attention to the upcoming Annual Ball & Recognition Awards which takes place on Friday 14th November.

It always amazes me how quickly it seems to come around and by the time you are reading this, it will be less than two months until the big night at Chester Racecourse. It was brilliant to see so many nominations for the awards from members and to hear your success stories over the last year, in a challenging economic climate, has been truly inspirational. There are so many fantastic organisations in our community and we are really looking forward to celebrating with you in November. You can read more about the event on the next page.

As the children return to school and you’re focusing all your efforts on the last few months of the year, I just wanted to highlight our Maximising Your Membership events that take place online once a month.

These are a brilliant way to have a refresh of the support available to you as a member to ensure you get maximum value out of your membership with us as we head to 2026. Have a look on our website for upcoming dates.
