“The tent is expertly built by experienced technicians who don’t think twice about a challenge or adjustment. Passion for their profession, true craftsmanship is something you rarely see.” (Fam. Van der Starre)
Proud owners speak “We have now seen all of Europe with our caravan “, Ruud and Margreet van der Starre from Dordrecht (NL) tell us. “On spec with our caravan out round there. Which we have always blissfully enjoyed but 10 years ago we decided to look for a permanent place. Friends of ours have been camping at the Achterste Hoef for years. So for us a logical choice, as it is a nice quiet campsite, and only an hour’s drive from Dordrecht. Moreover, in a wooded area and close to cities such as Eindhoven, Den Bosch and Antwerp, ideal for day trips.” Since we are on the campsite for about 4 days a week on average, it was time to take a serious look at our awning. Disassembling a tent every winter and rebuilding a few months later became physically too heavy. Every time it was a job that we dreaded. Our daughter enjoys a Ben Eilers tent at a campsite in Hank and is very satisfied. That is how we ended up at the Eilers family. In the showroom in Roermond we were warmly welcomed with a nice cup of coffee and a piece of pie as only the Limburgers can make. Extensive time was taken for us. There are various possibilities exposed in the
showroom, so that we had a clear overview of all options. From all colours of fabric or PVC, different tent shapes, with or without awning, actually everything is possible. They have been able to realize all our wishes in the tent, which we really enjoy. We have now fully equipped the tent with a kitchen, a stove, spacious seating and a place where we can enjoy our breakfast in the sun. Because of the space, the glass windows and the sliding door it really feels like a house, a home from home. The layout is completely furnished according to our wishes, thought has gone into about where the electricity points should be, or where the drainage of the water can best be led. In short, we are fans, and enjoy our tent every day! ”
Interior Lighting, electricity, supply and drainage for the kitchen and window coverings also belong to the layout of your tent. Our team will gladly help you.
“Our tent front was renewed. Preparation and mounting excellent. Extremely professional and super-friendly.“ (Erika)

“Within 1 month there was a beautiful awning for my caravan. I am very pleased with the way in which they work and fulfill the agreements.” (Teunis)
Freestanding awnings Do you have a permanent pitch at a campsite but you’d also like to tour with your caravan? The Ben Eilers freestanding awning has been specially designed for campers who want to stay flexible. Tow the caravan to your holiday destination and the awning and its contents can be left at your permanent pitch. On your return, simply park the caravan back behind the awning and connect the awning to the caravan door in no time at all.
Winterproof canopies A made-to-measure awning, attached to your caravan or chalet, extends your living space. It is the ideal link between indoor and out, providing you with cool shade or a protected spot out of the wind. Our canopies have the same solid construction as our winterproof awnings and are made from the same quality materials. The main difference lies in the open front, which gives you maximum contact with your surroundings. See it as a veranda which invites people to join you. For even more flexibility, we can make you a canopy with side sections which roll up.
Protective canopies for caravans Rain, frost, snow, the burning sun. A caravan has much to endure throughout its life. If you want to enjoy this costly possession for longer, it’s sensible to protect the caravan using a Ben Eilers protective canopy. Without a protective canopy, your caravan will age twice as quickly due to frost in the winter. In the summer, with the sun burning down straight onto the roof all day, the roof rubbers will perish, leaving you with leakage, structural stress and condensation. Luckily for you, a protective canopy can prevent the weather from having such a destructive effect. And so your caravan will live longer. A protective canopy from Ben Eilers is suitable for all caravan types and sizes. It is made up of several separate elements and mounted on your caravan as a second roof.
Chimney feedthrough and possible antenna feedthrough possible. Solar reflecting silver-grey PVC components. White components if desired at the roof hatches for more light. Alternative colours possible.
Profiles, legs, screws and steel cable fastenings in (cast) aluminium and stainless steel (not plastic).
Pvc components slotted into modular design for easy assembly and stormproof tension on the tarpaulin. The roof can be easily adjusted if another caravan is purchased. Caravan-friendly attachment.
Pagodas They’re often known as ‘party tents’. An apt description, because they certainly do look festive. However, pagodas have many more uses. Whether you install the Ben EIlers pagoda at the campsite, in your garden or on the patio, it offers shade, protection and convenience. Due to the stable construction, our pagodas are also winterproof. Available in various designs with or without side panels. Inquire about the possibilities. Standard sizes: 250 x 250 cm 250 x 350 cm 300 x 300 cm 300 x 350 cm 350 x 350 cm 300 x 400 cm 400 x 400 cm Alternative sizes on demand.
Veranda panels Enjoy your garden and terrace, delightful! Your patio roof provides shelter. To sit out of the wind or to create an extra space you can have electric or manually retractable porch sails installed. The sails are expertly measured by us and if desired, also assembled. Because you can fully open and close them, you choose the degree of shelter in your veranda. The colour scheme and window layout are tailored to your wishes. The electrical system is from Somfy.
Our specialists ensure top quality!

Form, colour, a variety of fabrics and materials ... the customer’s wishes are always central. Be your own architect and design your ideal floor plan, with or without a terrace or screen. That is why we only engage our own professional staff for the construction at the campsite.
How it all began Ben Eilers started Ben Eilers Tenten in 1966 together with his wife Irene. Ben Eilers has learned the sailmakers profession from his father Anton Eilers, the founder of Neptunus Tents. At the English military base Rheindahlen in Germany, where Ben works afterwards, he comes into contact with a new phenomenon. The English soldiers are the first to travel through Europe with a caravan. The sailmakers skills of Ben Eilers were soon discovered by these pioneers in the field of camping, and Ben started to make awnings to create extra space. In 1966 the demand is so great that he can say goodbye to Rheindahlen and start a business in a barn in St. Odiliënberg. In the seventies there is a change in the way of camping. Besides the “tour camping” there is the desire to park the caravan in a fixed place for a longer period of time. The awning must then meet higher requirements. Together with suppliers and employees, Ben and Irene develop an awning that can withstand long and intensive use. In the 1980s, “fixed” camping becomes more and more a trend. The awning must then be able to withstand in the winter and be more comfortable. After some experimenting with steel frames, Ben Eilers, together with the construction master, develops a frame consisting of square aluminium profiles. This is immediately a resounding success and the customers quickly find the company in Roermond from near and far.

How it all began (continuation) In the following years, the concept of the winter-proof awning is extended and innovated. Aluminium sliding windows and doors, insulated roofs, special shapes, the possibilities seem almost unlimited. Other related products are also being developed, such as protective roofs and winter-proof party tents. Also for the latest trend in camping, glamping, Ben Eilers has developed a solution: the Tent Lodge. On the Spanish Costa holidaymakers can rent a very luxury glamping tent from Ben Eilers. More than 52 years after its founding, Ben Eilers Tents is still leading and trendsetting in her field. After moving 2 more times, the company has settled in the current building at the Elmpterweg in Roermond. Meanwhile, customers throughout Europe enjoy their “home from Ben Eilers Tents, together with family and friends. Ben and Irene are now taking a step back and now their daughter Colette Eilers is at the helm of the company. With lots of enthusiasm the Ben Eilers team is at your disposal.
