CONNECTION AND JOY: BDS QUEST AND FEST
In a year of many uncertainties, the development team and auction co-chairs were charged with reimagining the format for the school’s biannual auction and community celebration. Director of Development Pati Fernández and an amazing team designed a series of events that would be fun, safe, and flexible enough to adapt to changing COVID-19 protocols. Thanks to their work, and that of countless volunteers, the BDS Quest and Fest was a burst of fun, love, and joy.
The Quest portion of the event, made up of three themed scavenger hunts, provided opportunities for adventure, creativity, play, and most importantly, safe connection for families in a year when health and safety protocols kept us apart. The silent online auction was a great fundraising success as well, and thanks to all those that supported the event.
The team was truly able to inspire and challenge our community while bringing a whole lot of joy to us all. The BDS Quest and Fest raised over $170,000 for the COVID-19 Relief Campaign—specifically supporting pool testing and technology enhancements in classrooms. Thank you for your unmatchable support!
We are grateful that you trusted us, welcomed a brand-new experience, and joined in on the fun. Whether you were a sponsor, a member of a Quest team, a Fest attendee, a supporter, or a silent auction bidder, you made this community event a huge success with your enthusiasm and your presence. We are so grateful to you. (See more about this event on page 52.)
