BELEN '65 TRIES TO CAPTURE THE SPIRIT THAT MOVES THE STUDENT BODY TOWARD THE IGNATIAN WAY OF LIFE. IT HAS BEEN OUR PURPOSE TO SHOW HOW A STUDENT AT BELEN GROWS IN KNOWLEDGE AND UNDERSTANDING TO BECOME A CHRISTIAN GENTLEMAN.
WE HOPE YOU FIND THIS SPIRIT OF OUR SCHOOL REFLECTED IN THE PAGES OF THIS ANNUAL, THE BELEN '65. WE DEDICATE THIS YEARBOOK TO THE VERY REVEREND FATHER FEDERICO ARVESU, S.J., WHO THROUGH HIS TIRELESS EFFORTS ON OUR BEHALF HAS ASSISTED GREATLY IN THE PROMULGATION OF THIS SPIRIT OF BELEN. THROUGH HIM, OUR APPRECIATION OF THE IGNATIAN WAY. OF LIFE HAS BEEN IMMEASURABLY DEEPENED.

An eloquent introduction by our Principal.
The act held in honor of Fr. Jose Rubinos was one of the high points of our school year. Fr. Rubinos had moved among us, impressing us with his humble but forceful spirit and inspiring us with his brilliant poetry.
It was our purpose in this act, to both honor his memory and keep alive his spirit.
Fr. Rector unveils the portrait.
Lawrence Root gives personal judgement of Fr. Rubinos great works.
A partial view of the audience.
Emilio Falero and his work.
Luis Lopez recites some of Fr. Rubinos works.

Guess who?
Seniors making use of our brand new court.
The Provincial, Father Arvesu, chats with Raul Bezos,
"El Botello" hits the "Balloon" as Franquiz watches.
The "Canalla" takes revenge on Pedrito.
Our wishes came through: A new Cafeteria!
It seems he doesn't want to get in the Yearbook.
By Golly! I forgot the rest of the problem,
Leisure time for Juniors,
interested in the matter????
Gee, I didn't know this !
Sophomores
"El Mono" takes a shot from the corner.
Watch out Loyola, you might get hurt.
While the basketball court was being constructed, there was nothing else to do.
What kind of a guy is this?
"Chino" goes over the "horse".
