Dear Beit Rayim Hebrew School Parents, School Calendar: You can find the BRHS calendar on our website under the "Back to School" package link or simply by clicking here. Please take a moment to review the calendar periodically because some changes or additions may occur. IMPORTANT: BRHS will remind you about different activities like Family Education Day, Kabbalat Shabbat, etc. via phone calls. For this purpose we will always contact the home number. In case of school cancellation you will also receive a phone call on your home number and you will be able to check that information on Facebook too. Mazal Tov! Mazal Tov to our Kindergarten teacher Jolene Abel on her wedding on Sunday, December 4th. Family Education Day Grade 7: Communication Grade 7 Family Education Day is on Sunday, December 4th from 10:30 am to 12:30 pm in the Gym. We invite all Grade 7 parents to participate in this multi-sensory learning experience led by our family educator that relates to the child's curriculum. It is a unique opportunity to learn together with your children in a fun and stimulating environment. Please RSVP to the school office asap. Rikudiyah: We are so excited to announce that Beit Rayim Hebrew School will be participating in this year's Rikudiyah performance! We are looking for students from Grades 4-6 to participate in this fantastic opportunity. More information will be available this Thursday at school. Challah: Beit Rayim Hebrew School Fundraiser! Bring home Amazing Donut’s Bakery (COR 90) 100% peanut, sesame and nut free large challah for Shabbat! A yummy way to help purchase books and other much needed supplies! For just $20 you can pre-order 4 loaves! You will receive challah for 4 Thursdays we are in session!! Select the rounds you want and return the form to the School Office at least one week in advance of the new round. You can find the form by clicking here. Beit Rayim Family Hannukah Party and Bazaar: Dance with Bounce Entertainment, games, pizza lunch available for sale, activities, Menchie’s frozen yogurt for sale and vendors. Sunday, December 18th from 10:30 am to 12:30 pm at Ross Doan P.S. Parents return and join the students at 10:30 am to participate together and browse the bazaar. Beit Rayim monthly Kabbalat Shabbat PJ Library: Join us for a fun, meaningful learning experience for the entire family at Beit Rayim Synagogue’s Kabbalat Shabbat PJ Library story telling. On the first Friday of each month we will be having a family oriented Kabbalat Shabbat service starting off with a story from the renowned PJ Library series of books. Date: December 2nd, 2011. Start time: 6:30 pm and will last around one hour. The book: Bone Button Borscht, the story teller: Melissa Miller. Services led by Cantor Eli Bard. Location: TanenbaumCHAT Kimel Centre, Beit Midrash, 9600 Bathurst Street. PJ Library is an award-winning Jewish family engagement program, mailing free, high-quality Jewish children’s books and music each month. It is funded locally by UJA Federation, the Harold Grinspoon Foundation and generous community philanthropists.
