Langley Christian School will be hosting a large group of Korean Middle School and High School students this summer. The students will be arriving on Wednesday, August 3 and Thursday August 4 and leaving on August 13 and 14. While they are here the students will be attending classes at LCS from 9:00 a.m. - 3:30 p.m. each weekday . These students need a "home away from home", while they are here in Canada. If you have a room/s to host two students or know of someone who might be interested in hosting please email Marlene Bylenga (mbylenga@langleychristian.com) or Carole Wheaton (cwheaton@langleychristian.com) or at 604 533 0839 ext 250. Host families will be generously compensated ($30/day/student).

The community outreach group is looking for volunteers for a Community Blessing project taking place on Saturday, July 16th. We are looking to send several teams of 2 or 3 out in our neighbourhood to mow lawns for the late morning and early afternoon. Volunteers would be needed for lawn mowing and for refreshments for the teams back at the church. If you are interested please talk to David Shipley.
Picnic Summer... Enjoy a summer to dine for with Bear Creek Church! During summer months July and August, there will be a picnic every Sunday after the service. Bring your own lunch and extra to share with your BCCC friends and family. We will be eating in the church park behind the parking lot.
VBS High Seas Adventure... Coming up from August 22nd to 26th, Vacation Bible School will be taking place. It is a free five day camp for kids in the community. We will be needing all hands on deck to prepare and participate in this event! There are a number of areas in which people are needed, including crew and station leaders. We are looking for about 20 volunteers, so if you are interested in helping out, please contact Kristen at the office anytime from Wednesday to Friday.
BCCC is Hiring... We are currently in the process of seeking a part time administrative assistant as Emily will be leaving her position mid-August. We are looking for a candidate with strong computer and internet skills, phone etiquette, and interpersonal skills. They would be responsible for a wide variety of administrative and clerical functions and must be well organized. If you or someone you know might be a candidate for this position, please contact dougfrew@hotmail.com.

The Ensing family would like to thank BCCC her and their family in their thoughts and prayers. Continual prayer is needed for the Ensing family as they grieve this loss. Pray for Matt (6 yrs. old) who is the son of the Bible’s translator, Kostya. Pray for wisdom and God’s healing hand as Matt is extremely weak due to illness.

Chris, a member of the AIA staff Gordon is ministering for leadership training, met with government officials of the district and offered to start a soccer league. The officials eventually agreed.
