Monrovia Police Department Honors Outstanding Employees The Monrovia Police Department will be recognizing the accomplishments of 12 of their employees on Thursday, April 26, 2018, at 5:00 p.m. in the City of Monrovia Council Chambers. Two recipients will be awarded the Medal of Valor, one recipient will be awarded the Medal of Merit, seven recipients will be awarded the Distinguished Service Medal, and three recipients will be awarded the Life Saving Medal for their exceptional work, their dedication to the Monrovia Police Department and their commitment to the community of Monrovia. The

The Monrovia City Council approved not only the Historic Context statement for the community, but also a Citywide Park Master Plan including an Open Space Element. The Council unanimously approved the Historic Context statement

embers of Monrovia Kiwanis club and representatives of the City including several members of the City Council and Public Works gathered in Kiwanis Park at Grand Avenue to celebrate the improvements in the park, largely financed by the Kiwanis Club.
The civic organization purchased new picnic tables and trashcans along with three new benches and a new decorative wrought iron fence. The park also features a nifty new tri-level drinking fountain including a dog bowl, bottle filler and traditional fountain. There is also a new solar light to illuminate the park after dark.
