Firefighters perform mountain rescue at Crescenta Valley Park in Glendale On Tuesday, October 22, 2013, 5 Glendale units (a Battalion command team, an engine company, a patrol, an urban search and rescue team, and a basic life support ambulance) were dispatched to a mountain rescue at 3400 Honolulu Avenue in the city of Glendale. Glendale Police Department resources located the single male hiker in a remote area and requested the assistance of the Glendale Fire Department to remove the hiker from his location. On Sunday evening September 22, 2013 at 10:31 PM the Alhambra Police Department began receiving 9-1-1 calls of shots fired in the 300 Block of North Monterey St. Upon the officers’ arrival, they found a deceased Atilt, male, Asian with multiple gunshot wounds to his upper body inside a vehicle parked in a garage. The name of the victim is being withheld at this time pending notification of the next of kin.
