A Southern California man was convicted on Thursday of stabbing and killing his estranged wife in north San Gabriel back in 2011, the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office said. Deputy District Attorney David Ayvazian of the Alhambra Branch Office said Sherman Dion Dorsey, 42, of Los Angeles, was convicted of one count of second-degree murder for the Aug. 3, 2011, killing of Gina Reano, 45. Jurors found true an allegation that Dorsey personally used a knife in the murder. Dorsey also was convicted of one count of attempted voluntary manslaughter with allegations of great bodily injury and use of a deadly and dangerous weapon found true, Ayvazian said. Judge Stan Blumenfeld said the defendant will be sentenced on Oct. 1 in the Los Angeles County
