Cabaret star Michael York battles rare disease Burbank Alhambra - Amyloidosis Recognized City Approves for excellence parking The City of Burbank structure has been awarded the presDue to a demand for additional parking in the downtown area, the City Council approved a request to circulate proposals for the design and construction of a new 5-1/2 story parking structure with approximately 292 parking spaces, to be located on North First Street. It is anticipated that the project duration will be approximately 18 months once a Design-Build Contractor is authorized to commence with the project. Financing will be through the issue of Lease Revenue Bonds through the Alhambra Public Financing Authority. (Public meetings for the Authority were set for the second and fourth Monday of every month, coinciding with regular City Council meetings). Celebrating his 50th year as a professional actor, Michael York, OBE, visited Pasadena Tuesday evening to discuss his recent fight with Amyloidosis, a rare and often misdiagnosed disease that connected him to the Fink family locally. This is the first time York has spoken publicly in the States
about the disease that took a serious toll on the popular actor’s life. “It all began two years ago, when I was doing a mini-series with Tom Conti,” he says. “I noticed I was getting dark circles under my eyes. At first, I was able to cover them up with make-up which for an actor is pretty
normal, but it got worse and was really becoming evident, so I had to wear dark glasses.,” York said. York was diagnosed with bone cancer. However, doctors later concluded that he was, in fact, suffering from amyloidosis, a blood disorder that deposits abnormal proteins throughout the

At approximately 3:30 AM, Temple Station deputies assigned to the Duarte area came upon an indoor
marijuana cultivation operation during a 459PC ( possible robbery in progress ) investigation.
As deputies arrived at the location (in the 1500 block of Highland Avenue, Duarte) Aero Bureau
personnel noticed unusually high heat signatures coming from inside the building as they scanned the area with F.L.I.R (Forward Looking Infra-Red). The pilots then observed 3 men exiting the rear of the location, who were then detained by the deputies. Continuing their investigation, deputies entered the location to conduct a protective sweep and observed approximately 100 mature marijuana plants (as well as 100 clones) Please see page 5

The FBI and law enforcement officers in multiple cities where the belowlisted bank robberies have
occurred are seeking information from the public that leads to the identity of an unidentified male bank robber wanted for a series of bank robberies.
