POLICE BLOTTERS and parking on a small street in Arcadia. Officers located the vehicle and confronted the driver and passenger. The female driver attempted to back away from the officers and pinned the vehicle against a tree. She attempted to drive the vehicle toward one of the officers and then rammed into one of the police cars. The suspects were taken into custody. Further investigation revealed the suspects had been tagging graffiti at several locations in the city. Investigation continuing.

Sierra Madre PD

During the week of Sunday, September 12th, to Saturday September 18th, the Sierra Madre Police Department responded to approximately 273 calls for service.

Monday, September 13th: 6:19 PM – Residential Burglary, 400 block North Lima Street. Suspect(s) entered an open unlocked rear sliding door and stole jewelry from the master bedroom. The crime occurred Monday, 9/13 between 8:15 am and 5:50 pm. No estimated loss estimate was available. Thursday, September 16th: 7:06 PM – Auto Burglary, 110 West Sierra Madre Blvd., Only Place in Town. A male suspect smashed the rear driver’s side window of a parked SUV. He stole two nursing books and a brown Coach purse. The male suspect was wearing blue jeans and a white tee shirt. He got into a newer model, 4-door, dark green Scion being driven by a female driver who was wearing black leggings and a tan top. The car left southbound through the west parking lot. The crime occurred Thursday, 9/16 between 2:35 pm and 4:52 pm. The total loss was estimated at $950.00.
