Two of our club members, Gareth and Seren, came up with a neat idea. They are both really interested in saving the planet as well as using their newfound practical skills to create something unique. They decided, as their 1st venture, to make coasters from recycled bottle tops and to sell them to other members and visitors to Youth Zone
They set up a new business between them called 'Star Makers' and put the coasters on sale at reception. Gareth aspires to be a coding engineer and Seren dreams of becoming an astronaut
If you would like to support these young people with their new venture 'Star Makers', please donate your bottle tops at our reception collection bucket

Three of our team members represented our organisation and we brought along a few creative activities o get everyone ' s juices flowing. The event provided a fantastic opportunity to connect with the local community members and get them involved. Our stall was a hive of activity with face painting, hair styling, and henna art
All, both young and old, go stuck in with many giggles, bloopers and masterpieces of creativity along the way. Thanks, IMO. Another hit event!
We'rethrilledtoannounceourcollaborationwithlocalIslamicfaithschools throughtheMadrassahproject.
This initiative, part of our Wednesday evening enrichment activities, aims to give students wider access to our diverse programmes.
Our 'East Meets West' group has already enjoyed activities such as cake decorating, creating posters of dream destinations, and role-playing. We're also encouraging girls to participate in sports like netball and circuit training We've learnt that the boys from the Madrassah love football and cricket, so football and cricket it is in a safe and fun environment!
We're also planning away visits and trips for the Madrassah group. We're also talking with other madrassas to expand our reach by the end of the year.
We are always ready to learn and ready to share, and our new Madrassah project has provided exciting new opportunities for us to support the Islamic community in providing access to our wonderful facilities

We were delighted to be able to support this event and our team provided services such as nail care, hairstyling, and henna art
Refresh enabled us all to reflect and be reminded of the importance of creating spaces where women can come together, support one another, and celebrate their unique strengths and talents We were honoured to have been a part of this inspiring Women's Day and hope we contributed to the voice of local young women, their issues, concerns and aspirations.
Blackburn proudly pays homage to its cinematic roots with a remarkable artwork commemorating Mitchell and Kenton, the trailblazers behind the very first Western film, "The Kidnappers." Unveiled by Jamie Holeman and Alex Zawadzki, the installation features an impressive arrangement of 40 largescale pewter arrows.
Some of our talented members cast these arrows during an exclusive workshop led by specialist Ella Mackintosh. Now permanently displayed at 14-16 Lord Street West, the arrows serve as a powerful tribute to the pioneering spirit of Mitchell and Kenton
