Refresh enabled us all to reflect and be reminded of the importance of creating spaces where women can come together, support one another, and celebrate their unique strengths and talents We were honoured to have been a part of this inspiring Women's Day and hope we contributed to the voice of local young women, their issues, concerns and aspirations.

Unveiling, Blackburn's First Western: A Remarkable Tribute

Blackburn proudly pays homage to its cinematic roots with a remarkable artwork commemorating Mitchell and Kenton, the trailblazers behind the very first Western film, "The Kidnappers." Unveiled by Jamie Holeman and Alex Zawadzki, the installation features an impressive arrangement of 40 largescale pewter arrows.

Some of our talented members cast these arrows during an exclusive workshop led by specialist Ella Mackintosh. Now permanently displayed at 14-16 Lord Street West, the arrows serve as a powerful tribute to the pioneering spirit of Mitchell and Kenton
