You have 30 days to register your vehicle after establishing residency in your county.

You have 90 days from the time you moved to the state to obtain your Texas driver license.

STEP 1: Obtain Texas approved auto insurance.

Bring the following to any Texas license office:*

• Identification: driver license, passport, birth certificate or social security card • Vehicle Registration and Insurance • Texas Driver License Application (Form DL-14A) • Registration Fee

STEP 3: Register vehicle at county tax office.
