A
celebration was held January 19, 2017, for the 30th Anniversary of The Notary Foundation of British Columbia. We are grateful for the vision and foresight of all the people who worked to create The Foundation. BC Notary Stan Nicol, longtime Secretary of The Society of Notaries Public of BC, and Bob Adamson, representative from the BC Government, were particularly integral to the founding of the organization. The mandate of The Notary Foundation of BC is to maintain a fund to be used for legal education, research, and legal aid; education and continuing education for BC Notaries; establishing, operating, and maintaining law libraries in British Columbia; the Special Fund established under the Notaries Act, and funding grants and bursaries for approved projects for groups
