s a meaningful way to pay tribute to those who gave the ultimate sacrifice and paid the price for all of our freedoms, the Palm Springs Air Museum will hold its annual Flower Drop and Air Fair in time for Memorial Day. The commemoration recognizes the vital role of those who fought in World War II, in particular. This ceremony is noted as one of the most significant throughout southern California. The day’s events will include morning flight exhibitions featuring the P-51, P-63 and C-47. At 1 p.m., the B-25 Mitchell Bomber will drop 3,000 red and white carnations in remembrance of those who died while serving in our country’s armed forces. Guests are welcome to pick up a carnation to take home.
Following the Flower Drop, attendees will be able to view the Missing Man Formation with the fighter jets overhead. Other attractions will include musical entertainment, children’s activities and food vendors. A Beer Garden will be open for those 21 and older. Visitors are encouraged to bring folding chairs and to carpool if possible, as the parking lots will fill quickly. Friendly pets on leashes are welcome. The Palm Springs Air Museum Flower Drop and Air Fair is held on Monday, May 27.
