The Hidden Benefits of Buying a Home in the Fall I was getting a coffee at Baked and Brewed the other day when I bumped into my friend, KT. After chatting for a few minutes, my favorite topic popped up: real estate. KT started to tell me about her friend who was looking at getting into a property in Auburn. She hadn't seen anything she loved and had given up. Now that the busy holiday season is just around the corner, she didn’t want to deal with the hassle of moving. I explained that people often think buying a home in the fall is a bad idea. Ironically, it can be a great time of year to shop for a property for the following reasons:

This year we are seeing the inventory level inch up as more homes are currently for sale than this time last year. In addition, prices have softened over the last three months.
