Updates to Southwest Building Construction throughout the Southwest building continues, and some areas are already open for use. The transformation to the third floor is now complete and allows much more natural light to fill the larger hallways. Training rooms are ready for scheduling and were recently used to train new team members for Open Enrollment.

The second floor will feature an immersive experience in the new ASO Hub with audio and visual technology throughout the room.

The work is scheduled to be done by the end of September. Conference rooms and the Customer Service area have also been renovated.

The South Atrium is in the demolition stage and is ready for new lighting and ceiling tiles. The new layout of the South Atrium will give employees a casual space to meet and will include high and low tables, monitors for impromptu meetings and a break room. Workis scheduled to be completed by the end of the third quarter.

A

GLOBAL PANDEMIC Supporting our community during a global public health emergency looks much different than how we’ve shown support in years past. From well-known, annual events being cancelled or rescheduled to reimagining how nonprofit organizations involve sponsors while social distancing, community relations in 2020 has been a challenge. However, Blue Cross of Idaho remains steadfast in helping our communities throughout the state.

Despite the need to remain home to curb the spread of the coronavirus, many organizations have found ways to keep their supporters and volunteers involved. Here are a few upcoming events Blue Cross of Idaho is sponsoring: • Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure (virtual): Boise, August 29; Coeur d’Alene, September 20 • St. Luke’s FitOne Virtual – September 20-26 • Labor Day Parade, Idaho Falls

Support our Community – Sign Up for a Virtual Race Today Some of the largest fundraising events across Idaho have gone virtual and need your support. Blue Cross of Idaho is sponsoring several events across the state and is encouraging employees to join two upcoming events.

St. Luke’s FitOne – Join the Blue Cross of Idaho team for the virtual St. Luke’s FitOne race September 18-26. Register online and use the case-sensitive code: bcihbc20. You must register by September 13. Learn more about virtual participation on the St. Luke’s FitOne website.

Race for the Cure – Komen Idaho Montana will host two events based out of Boise (August 29) and Coeur d’Alene (September 20). The Boise event will be virtual and has planned a drive-thru race expo parade. Use the code bluegoespink when registering.

Celebrating National Parents Day Blue Cross of Idaho recognized employees who are superheroes among us – parents. The role of a parent can be the most challenging and rewarding job one can take on. On the fourth Sunday of July, Americans recognize outstanding parents and celebrate their accomplishments.

Being a working parent in the time of a worldwide pandemic is untrodden territory, and as we’ve learned, no easy feat. Somedays you may not know where your professional self ends and where “mommy” or “daddy” begins. So, here’s to you – you are a superhero. You are a parent.

Compliance Reminder: Annual Conflict of Interest Questionnaire Annually, all employees are required to submit a Conflict of Interest Questionnaire. To access the questionnaire, first review section V – Conflicts of Interest of the Code of Ethical Business Conduct.

The questionnaire follows a yes or no format and answers are confidential. If you believe you do not have a potential conflict of interest, answer no to the specific question. If you believe you have a potential conflict of interest, answer yes to the specific question and provide detail as to the affiliation or transaction. Please submit the completed questionnaire no later than Tuesday, August 11.
