In the age of digitization, the small piece of paper has become obsolete. admin is the name of the first mass-produced, cross-branch paperless receipt technology that can be integrated by every retailer and used by every smartphone user. Developed by Bremenbased software company A&G GmbH, admin enables invoices and receipts to be sent directly to the customer’s smartphone via near-field communication (NFC) or QR code during the payment process. This not only speeds up the purchasing process, but also reduces acquisition, maintenance and material costs — and benefits the environment, as conventional thermal paper pollutes the ecosystem and effects our health through the use of chemicals.
